I agree and was going to post something along these lines. There are a few that have definite loyalty to LCFC such as JV but even our own home-grown Gary Lineker left for Everton and eventually Barcelona. In many cases it's a mercenary career and Fofana can't really be blamed for wanting better things. That doesn't mean I like the way he has behaved in the recent past. Unless his agent/Chelsea "advised" him not to play in case of injury, given his previous leg break and that's why he downed tools. Also maybe the board thought, if he gets injured whatever price we could get would be lost. Better be safe than sorry.

Notice how our club didn't really bring it up? Rodgers only confirmed Fofana trained with the U21's, but do we know of any further action, i.e. was he disciplined in any way? Rodgers never said Fofana 'downed tools'.
To me, this smells like all parties were OK with Fofana 'staying safe' so as not to compromise the transfer.

I've never been one for booing players who once played for us, when they return. Not even those who left under a cloud (with perhaps one exception – Wise). Never saw the point of any of that stuff. Always found it a bit childish.

However, with Fofana, I'm prepared to forgo that principle. I'll feken smuggle one of those nasty value £3 chickens from Tesco into the ground and chuck it at it at the c**t during warm up.

Good to see you're keeping abreast of the situation.

Is Maddison surprised that Leicester fans aren’t best pleased with Fofana’s antics and aren’t impressed with him making a public post about him leaving and wishing him well? Maddison either doesn’t give a shit or is incredibly stupid/naive. Fofana’s been a right **** about leaving and if he wanted to message him, do it privately, not wanking over him after he’s been a right **** and essentially called the manager and the club liars about how much he’s forced the issue to leave.

I get the feeing Maddison might be going next season.

100% this (imo)

but wes took the flack because the club is bigger than everything else.  ‘I get it coach’ is his reference to that.

So Fofana does all he can to manufacture his move to Chelsea without of course foregoing his loyalty payment by putting in a written request. Then has the balls to complain when the club has the nerve to let us know that he he hadn't gone to training and didn't play because his head wasn't right.

Little Wes = Little S**t

Only read the first page of this thread so already know I'm not the only one who thinks it but good f ing riddance to the petulant scumbag. Hope the Leicester curse strikes and soon. Can't wait to see Jamie Vardy leave one on him next time we play. A fantastic player with absolutely enormous potential but an arrogance and lack of respect to match. **** him.

It's not a curse, some of our players are just overated by our own fans and the media and we sell them on for good money. The actually elite players we sold in Kante and Mahrez have done just fine.

I think you've got more chance of seeing Vardy fall and break his hip at this stage than leaving one on anyone.

I doubt you’ll get the chance as Wesley 'f##k off' Fofana will already be injured well be for we bloody play Chelsea at home, we’re all aware how much of a sick note he is.

Happy to see this transfer completed, went on for far too long though, great player with enormous potential but took a massive shit on the football club, got a decent fee for him though so well done to the club for that at least.

We've got a replacement in with Faes signing so the club have moved quickly with that so credit for that.

There's a good reason why they gave him a 7 year contract.....they know exactly what he's like and they know that one day, he will do same to them as he's done to every other club he's signed for.

By offering 7 years, they've just increased the sale value for when he does the inevitable to them like he's done to everyone else.

Fair play to Chelsea as what they're actually saying by offering him a 7 year deal is...."how can we say WE dont trust you Fofana without actually saying WE dont trust YOU...?!?"
