Personal comments about Top and how his dad would feel about the job he is doing are out of order but criticism around how he is running the club is fair.

Not sacking Brendan can only be one of three reasons... We can't afford to, we believe he can turn it around or personal relationships have clouded their judgement on him. None of those are acceptable.

Add to that, we have a bloated squad who are below par or are running down contracts. All of which are on inflated wages and no one wants them and we can't sign players to improve the squad. We also seem dangerously close to FFP breaches amd are posting massive losses season after season.

Again, this is not acceptable and the fans are well within their rights to question and criticise this. I understand that the fans don't know exact what's going on but that's because there is no transparency and again, that's on them.

thats my point really - firstly, we don't know the reasons - so being vitriolic and disrespectful to someone we've had a lifetime's worth of outrageously good experiences with doesn't sit well with me. secondly they're humans capable of making mistakes - we don't know if they've made or are in the midst of making a mistake but given everything they've done for us maybe we should hold fire on the name calling and and wanting them gone until we have a better understanding of what's going on.

the board and top aren't above being questioned but there's a way to go about it.

And here’s where I diverge. I really don’t think there’s room for the self appointed protest police.

I know where you’re coming from, but imo that level of respect is due both ways. The absolute silence towards people paying over £50 for a ticket next Monday - or a £200 bomber jacket - is massively disrespectful. They all know full well that while they may be the temporary custodians, it’s our damn club. And it’s football, so it’s going to get emotional.

If Top were attending matches, maybe he’d get the softly softly message, but he’s an insulated 11hr flight away. The only way he’s hearing anything is if people shout very loudly - and that me saying people should kick off a bit, passions should be inflamed.

He should be contrite for what he is currently doing, not us being deferential.

This is a situation of Top’s own making - everyone (almost) wants Rodgers gone, including f*cling Rodgers. Personally, I’m amazed it’s only a couple of people who’ve strayed over to vitriol so far, and a credit to almost every poster here - but damn if I don’t blame them for their vexation.

So no, I’m sorry, there isn’t a correct way to go about it when the inaction of a stay away owner is deeply damaging the club people feel emotionally bonded to. If he doesn’t want to get called out for being a c*nt, then don’t be a c*nt.

If we beat Forest he’ll be staying a while. If we lose Top will be forced to pull the trigger. And he’ll already have sounded out or identified candidates.

You would think. It's nice to believe that the club would be one step ahead and have a replacement eyed up but I'm finding it harder and harder to believe the club are making sensible decisions at all just now.

It would also be nice to believe that the club are financially fine but I'm not so sure thats true either. It would be nice to believe that the club are taking the fans displeasure at management seriously too but if they are, they are showing a blatant disregard to it.

Similair to how Rodgers found success off of the foundation put down by Puel before running it into the ground, it seems are current regime are doing the same with what Khun Vichai laid out for them.

Lose to Forest and we could be 6/7 points off safety. There seems to be a feeling among a lot of fans that a new manager will turn it round, but it becomes much less likely the longer this goes on.

Are you a Leicester fan? Then you support the team and hope they beat Forest and that is the start of a massive turn around.

If we lose then express your discontent however you want.

I remember when Newcastle came to KP and got thrashed by us a few seasons ago - their fans sang 'We're fcuking shit, we're fcuking shit,' for pretty much the whole second half.

I'm not necessarily saying we should - or would - do that, but it certainly sends a message.

Absolutely baffling that people don't realise this.

It doesn't send a specific message though. Brendan would just spin that as fans are unhappy at the current financial state of the club, like he has been. A chant of "Brendan, your time here is up. You've proven yourself  unable to build a squad not only here but at your two previous clubs. Your arrogance and inability to take responsibility is draining and your personality is no better. Please leave" but that's less catchy.

Not sure a game at home against the worst side in the league will teach us much that we didn't already know. A win would absolutely paper over the cracks. If it's a football game then we have a chance of winning, if it becomes a fiery derby game then we'll likely lose.

Are we playing a squad XI vs XI game?

Haha. I know it's a bit doom and gloom on here (fairly so) but I think our awfulness is occasionally being exaggerated. I think if we play like we did at Spurs then we probably win the game against Forest.

They managed to squeak a win against West Ham, but have 4 points having played Everton, Fulham, and Bournemouth already. They had Man City which is a throwaway fixture for everyone, and we've both had Spurs, but they have undoubtedly had better fixtures than us.

The main concerns will be them having more fight than us (a given for every team) and them being willing to employ a low block and counter us. Everyone knows how to play against us. Just got to hope we can pick a few goals out against their pretty shocking defence.

Let it be, at the end of the day Top at some point will have to bite the bullet and fire him.

At the moment he is like someone who doesn't want to end a relationship that is truly dead.

The penny will drop when Forest smash us and the fans get super angry.

There shouldn't be abuse, there should be constructive criticism. As football fans people like to make things personal and situations become heated and turn nasty very quickly. A toxic environment is no good for the team, the fans and the club as a whole. as football fans all we can do is vent our anger and frustration but it needs to be channelled in the right way. We certainly can't have fans turning on each other. This could get like Arsenal and the Wenger out brigade. We support the team, we support the club. The club needs to get decisions right.

If we win, then enjoy it.

I think it's that simple. Get behind them - properly - and really make some noise. If it goes wrong and the match is gone, don't slip away quietly on sixty minutes, instead make your feelings clear. Preferably as the game draws to a close, rather than when we're still in the match, be it a goal down or whatever.

If Top is right not to sack Rodgers, then that's good for all of us. While I can't fathom how he's still here, if he's to be the manager I want him to get the results. But if, as I strongly suspect, over the next few games it becomes clear that things aren't working out, we need to use our voice.

The fans have got to act on this at some point and I don't think they're going to unless we do lose to Forest, which is very plausible now.

I just cannot bear the fact that beating Forest in a way is the worst thing that can happen. That's what I despise most about the situation. Beating them in the long run probably increases the chance we get relegated.

It's noticeable how much security has been 'upped' in recent games.

I've never known stewards/security go round towards the dugouts in such numbers before.

Does make me laugh lol

I imagine it'll be scaled up even further for the Forest game.

How do we deal with it? You get on with your life like normal FFS. lol

Yep, can tell some people don’t have many real issues to deal with in life!

Also, just get behind the team! So what if we’re crap? We’ve been a lot worse before and nothing lasts forever, good or bad.

The current negativity makes it a bit tedious supporting LCFC - we need to bring back that siege mentality in the fan base from 14/15 and 15/16 and stop feeling sorry for ourselves.
