Yawn indeed...wonder why certain fans take no pleasure from a city win, yes it's been hard this season, but if you can't raise any enthusiasm from a win then switch to snooker.

Would expect to see the same back four and front three

the middle depends on wilf’s fitness

I think you’re right. Same starting eleven bar injuries or niggles.

Wilf out for a few weeks.

Not too fussed because Soumare has actually shown he can do it.

The only dissapointing thing about Wilf being out is that he actually played in his actual position the other night and it helped the rest of the system work.

Hopefully Bouba can fill in well!

Soumare?

“With Bouba, we have to recognise that there’s no time given to players. I remember a time when a top-class player would have gone to Liverpool and then you wouldn’t hear of them for a year. There was never any questions asked. They were learning their trade. When they were ready, they were brought into the team. Nowadays, because of the spotlight, people expect players to be ready straight away. Has he fallen out with the manager? Does he not like training? He came into a new country and a new style. He didn’t speak the language. It’s been tough. He’s done really well. He’ll get an opportunity now. The improvements are that bit more anticipation. It’s the same with Daka. There’s very few that are like Erling Haaland, who is a generational talent. Most players take time to adapt. Bouba has been one of those.”

One hell of a ****ing personality transplant this bloke has had during the international break lol

Vardy’s season so far?

“Jamie’s been working very hard, and maybe the goals haven’t come yet, but his role is very important. He’s a player that needed to start the game on Monday, with his authority, and at home where he has a connection with the fans. The remainder of his time here will be important.”

He's mentioned "for the remainder of his time" a couple of times now - I have a feeling Vardy has maybe told the club it will be his last season here....?

Not ideal but I think I'd rather have Tielemans in front of the pack 4 and let Soumare/Praet play right central. Or bring in a right winger (or closest thing we have to one lol) and return to 4231.

Didn't he just sign a new contract?

'remainder of the time' could just simply mean that everyone knows his time is coming to an end and he won't be like the player we're so used to knowing and loving. And he's important to have around the squad.

I think that's exactly what it meant.

Start him agianst the top 6 (because guaranteed goal) and big games. He gets 60 mins etc.

The rest it's a chance for Daka to get his 60 mins minimum.

I think Brendan knew he had to go for the win against Forest. The crowd were too pumped to turn out the usual disgusting sideways ball. It would have turned so toxic.

I do fear normal service will resume against Bournemouth. A team we should comfortably beat, but probably won't.

By the sound of it Rodgers is a lot chirpier, which is understandable after Monday night

However, the proof of the pudding as they say...

This is arguably our easiest away fixture of the season. If we don't win it, we are virtually back to square one. If we lose it, we definitely are.

Surely if Ndidi and Mendy are both gonna miss the game then this has to be the time to put Braybrooke after his really impressive form for the unders, or at the very least one of our academy players onto the bench for the next game?

Most likely be Lewis Brunt making the numbers up again

Brentford was at home, after going up 2-0. That was caused by bad management after a really good start. Southampton are complete gash. Chelsea were there for the taking for at least a draw after going down to 10 men.  Man U barely looked like they had turned up.

There is something in what you say, but we should have picked up at least an additional 4 points in there from the easier games, and we could have picked up maybe 1 more point from Chelsea or Man U.  The fact we didn’t came from everything from management downwards  being all over the place. Rodger’s behaving like a child and the team clearly not being fit and ready.

Bournemouth is a must win still. After this run of fixtures I dont want to be in the bottom 3. If we are, then it’s real trouble for us.

Can’t really disagree with anything you’ve said there, and yes, the Brentford match was at home not away, and I now remember how disappointed I was at the result. I still think a change of manager would be best all round if we can get someone decent. But it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen any time soon, so I’m trying to stay positive and like Micawber, hope that something turns up.

This will be a tougher game than florist. They will pose more attacking threat at home and see us as an opportunity to get three points themselves. That being said I hope we have turned a corner now and come away with three points. 1-2 Maddison and Barnes.

I agree, and I've posted earlier in another thread that I feel the Forest game was unfortunately a false dawn (I dearly, dearly hope I'm wrong) but Bournemouth won't be as shambolic as Forest and will offer a far sturner test.

I truly fear the amount of room Forest afforded us, coupled with their lack of organisation and their low pressing, certainly 1st half, "allowed " us an amount of freedom to perform with less pressure, (much the same as England playing San Marino and looking world beaters) but the Bournemouth match will be a complete polar opposit affair.

Cue the possession based "Brenden Ball" set up,  with diminished forward intent, and we are all treated to another Brentford at home type of performance and possibly a similar scoreline, or worse.

Has he fully adapted?

“He’s settled well. He’s become a father and matured and understands life better, and understands what it takes to succeed in the Premier League. The beauty of Bouba is that he has all of the physical qualities. He has the technical qualities. He just had to adapt to our pressing and filling spaces at the right moment. In time he will improve"

It's Boub time

I fear its going to be a very similar game to the ones we've seen all too often. Bournemouth will sit back and let our midfield and defence pass it to one  another for the majority of the game, hitting us on the counter when it suits them. I want to see speed and positivity in our passing and movement and a more organised defence. If not, we're back to square one.

l think following the crazy "wagatha"  b*llocks  and Vards investing in  a US club, it's really likely he will move there sooner rather than later

Thanks Rebekka 😐
