Same as Forest. Think that’s the blueprint for the rest of the season now.

KDH pressing high, Madders cutting inside, Castagne pushing high with Youri dropping in.

Then Justin staying back more at LB and Barnes staying really wide - there’s real balance to that side. I think we can defend far better than we did against forest and an in form Ndidi would make a huge difference. I’d also suggest Daka is the more dangerous option to Vardy but like I said, same XI as Forest. I’m confident! Strange feeling like this again!

Perhaps Brendan should show that collapse from the other year before the game, like he did on Monday apparently showing the cup game from last season.

Yes - we’re building up quite a back catalogue of “collapse videos” that we can use for future motivation

This.

I think the problems have been primarily the system Rodgers has imposed and not the players (who haven't suddenly become crap en - masse).

Playing people in their best positions and not over complicating (particularly against teams like Bournemouth) is just sense.

Hopefully this lineup/system will be - as LVocey says - the basic model of how we play albeit with tactical like for like changes along the way.

Top teams/managers will work this system out and beat us for sure but our challenge is to beat or at least get a result not from these teams but the other 12 or so.

The "others" will also try to work us out but as Iron Mike Tyson famously said

"everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face".

Our job should be to pound them from the get go and destroy any plan.

I see another win coming.

Daka was very impressive vs Forest at a time when the game had started to fizzle out and we were stretching the play as much, couple that with Vardy missing a lot of chances and I'd be tempted to play Patson. That said, Vardy usually makes mincemeat of these sorts of teams and we do need him to spark in to life.

Its nice to have both options. Although he missed a lot of chances i though Vardy looked good against Forest and i thought they were sh*t scared of him. Some lovely movement in the set pieces too. I feel as soon as be bags one of these chances he could score a lot. However, we can't get back to bringing Daka on in the 80th minute when we are 3-1 down. He need to treat those 2 as a mini team where one runs them ragged.

I'd stick with Vardy but bring on Daka early in the 2nd half. If Vardy doesn't score, Daka gets a start for the Palace match.

I was in their home dressing room a couple of weeks ago - hope I didn't leave something contagious in there 🙄

Oh, and the away dressing room is a bloody disgrace. More like something you'd have seen at Viccy Park back in the 70's. How they get away with it I don't know. In fact, the whole of the stadium interior is Div1 at best, except for their VIP area of course.

The euphoria of beating Forest is gradually becoming more realistic. First half, I thought we were great. Pressed hard as a unit and genuinely looked to progress the ball up the pitch with more urgency than we have done all season. We looked organised and ‘at it’. Second half, much less so. But nobody knows how much 3-0 at halftime changed the manager’s instructions. If we can put 90 minutes together like the first 45, I think we win. Do that and it’s 6from6 and we are rolling. Climbing the table, confidence flowing, pressure relieved on players and staff, happy days. Massive game. Can’t see any reason to change anything in team, depending on Wilf’s fitness. Daka must be close.

We have better players and need to assert ourselves confidently again. They are not much better than Forest and if we play with confidence like on Monday we should have enough in the tank to beat them.

They are significantly better than Forrest if only because they have a competent defender in senesi. Their midfield is shite so they're going to park the bus so we're going to struggle to score.

Play exactly the same and we’ll over power them. Keep it tight I defense no silly mistakes to all the opposition even a sniff at our goal
