If we revert to type, Rodgers needs to be gone, regardless of the Forest result.

After Forest I saw a lot of "clearly this shows the players are still playing for him" - I'm not sure that argument holds any weight. It was a local derby, the fans were clearly up for it, the expectations were markedly higher - I suspect if the players put any extra in then it was for the occasion and the fans, rather than Rodgers. Not to mention that the football we played in the 1st half was very un-Rodgers like.

I’m looking forward to this one and wish I could be there. I like the trips down to Bournemouth and feel/ hope we are going to be really up for this one. The away support will be great as normal. It’s going to be tougher than Monday for sure but if we play like we did then we should come away with three points. With the injuries to Wilf and mendy getting a lot of focus we still need the whole team to contribute and I hope Monday was the turning point for our season. If Maddison puts in another performance like he did then he will drag us through this. He is a marked man now so we need the likes of barnes kdh soumare Vardy Daka etc to step up and play to their peak also. I would love one of our newer players Wout Daka or Bouba to really shine and even score first. Would help galvanise the players and supporters. If all is going well towards the end would be great to see one of the youngsters to get some time. We will probably need one or two of them to step up this season.

              Iversen

Castagne Evans Faes Justin

                  Bouba

      Tilemans       KDH

    Maddison.       Barnes

                   Daka

Just go at them and we’ll win 2-3. They’ve looked a decent enough side since they sacked Parker but in a one off game we should always be looking to win this. I think we’ll concede at least a couple though. The only reason we kept a clean sheet on Monday night is because Forest are shit. B’mouth aren’t any near as bad.

This would be absolutely 100% true if we were in the 90s. I don't think rivalries are so important to this generation of players nowadays. There's also the question: When you're doing your job as a footballer you can't turn up just for certain games, can you? As a fan, when my team is in trouble I want to see the same intense and effort in every single game. I don't care if it's Forest or Bournemouth.

Whilst Ward probably deserved dropping pre Forest, there is no chance Rodgers drops him for this.

That's another thing that we have learned from the Forest game. Four now. That gives me an idea for a 'Fansided' feature.

Be interesting to see who replaces Ndidi in the 20. Another CB or Brunt (for his versatility) or maybe Braybrooke? It'll be Praet no doubt as the only in game MF change, unless two Youri, Soumare and KDH get injured...

Same team as vs Forest, except Big Bouba or Mini Mendy in for Ndidi.

Mendy is out so we've got the big man in

Ndidi is the worst passer of a ball we have. He’s useless on the ball. He wins so many tackles in a game because he’s receiving the ball when he loses it. Soumare keeps the ball and moves the play on.

To me Soumare is a far more complete player. He needs time to settle in and develop in the team. Ndidi is well past his best and has been for a few years now.

Ndidi is 25. It will be worrying if he's not got anymore growth as a player from here, although I totally get he has his limitations.

"Soumare keeps the ball and moves play on" - that's what I see from Mendy not Soumare.

All I see from Soumare, currently, is a player who looks unsuited to any particular role and, for that reason probably, looks lost and confused and unsure what he needs to do to influence the game. He also lacks any positional discipline, which adversely affects those around him.

I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one but, for the sake of the team, I hope you're right and I'm wrong.

Never been to Bournemouth before, any suggestions for anything for the family to do not too far away from the stadium whilst me and the lad watch the match? Sea Front is quite far away.

Boscombe Beach is closer although still a 25min walk if no car, 7mins in a car, it doesn't have the arcade like B'Mouth pier but if a nice'ish day its got a sandy beach along with plenty of cafes, buckets spades etc & a pier.
You can also hire surf boards & they run lessons from 1 of the units although not sure if operating now its Oct as the LifeGuards are only stationed between May-Sep
Best place to eat is Urban Reef further along from the Harvester & it faces out to sea.

There is a land 'Noddy style' train that runs between Boscombe Pier & B'Mouth Pier so if walking they can drop to Boscombe get on the train to the arcades & other attractions aquariumn etc around B'Mouth seafront itself then hop back on to come back - equally if in car park at Boscombe & jump on train or even walk its 20-25mins between the 2 beaches, depending on kids ages.

Pre-warning if walking Boscombe town centre probably looks worse than it really is & you will meet a few lushes on the benches.

There was a really encouraging moment in the second half on Monday where he collected in our half and surged, making yards and carrying past a forest midfielder.

Exactly what I've seen in his highlights videos, a player - like Faes - who speeds up the transition.

I'd love it if he picked up where he left off and continued looking to gain forward momentum in possession.

...no one was asking Ndidi to take the ball under pressure or to be instrumental in building the play from the back when he first came here!!!

That is what is being asked of him now and that is not what he does. If you have to judge him you will have to accept that what Rodgers wants is not a Ndidi, if that is the case sell him or give him the role where he covers the defence by reading the play and knowing where to be. Let us play Maddison as a striker, and see how that goes. It is not a million miles from what he does now, but it requires a different type of skill in order to be effective in the role.

Very helpful, thanks mate. 90 mins away now (staying at Poole), so gonna spend the morning exploring Bournemouth. That train thing sounds quite good for the little ‘uns. Will look into that.

We really need to use Forest as a springboard and get on a run now, still have no confidence in Rodgers or the defence however.

Our away form is appalling, 17 goals I think it is in 4 games? 4 - 2 - 5 and 6, and the 2 were against 10 men, it's simply unsustainable and it's time we turned it round.

...very laboured and deliberate in his passing, as if he is playing by numbers!!!

He does not look comfortable in his actions as if he expects to lose the ball at any second. Very unnatural and wooden, it could be confidence or  being asked to play to instructions.

So your telling me a midfielders job is to not want the ball and pass it!?

I get his strength is winning the ball back but he struggles with just basic short passing.

there’s a reason he’s still with us and not been poached by a bigger club.
