I get the logic of playing 5 at the back Vs Man City, but I don't get why you would choose this game to completely change formation and personnel at the back for the first time in ages.Ā

Interesting lineup. Glad cags is back, unless he has a nightmare of a game haha shame im not going to be able to watch it 😭

I'm looking forward to seeing how he plays.

Ā

Flipside is that if we get tonked at their players are on form then Cags' confidence will be totally shot.

Think that's our best team. No doubt Soyuncu will come out to be that defensive midfielder and become a back three. Vardy and Barnes up front will cause chaos on the break

Ā

Probably about a bad a Man City team as we could have hoped for. Still a really good side, but we have every chanceĀ

If anything it'll be Amartey as he's played there before for Ghana I think.Ā

As long as we have CM who can look after the ball I don't mind us having no CDM with a back 5

I suppose that is the thinking. If we compare the team to the one that got the victory over them, the difference is KDH over Mendy, and the defenders. That game was tactically very interesting because Mahrez scored a worldy early on, we didn’t change our approach at all, and still won comfortably!

Ā

I don’t expect to get anything but them missing Haaland and Foden gives us a chance.Ā

Playing a back five and still not playing either Daka or Iheanacho is just mad.Ā

Ā

Have we ever successfully played 343? If it's 3412 and neither Daka or Iheanacho make the starting line up its one of the worst calls he's made to date. I assume its 343 which Madders meant to be on the right?Ā

Ā

I mean that just sounds like a terrible idea?Ā

Let’s face it none of those formations are right, this will be a back 8 against Man City and hope we can catch them on break with Barnes and Vardy

Expecting absolutely nothing as do every team in the league against theseĀ

Have a go, be strong defensive and put a shift in, would be more then happy with thatĀ

You need fast breaking players to trouble Man City, not sure Nacho fits that mould.

Ā

The idea with Vardy and Daka seems to be one plays and runs his bollocks of and the other come on around the 60 minute mark.

Think you are underrating Maddison workrate and defense work.

I think he runs around and harries. But he isn't physical and doesn't put his foot in much. But he is far better in that aspect than Barnes. I just think the other two will be positioned to do the majority of the grunt.Ā

Boys don't be ridiculous we're going to park the bus so deep there'll be no line between the midfield and the back five for a holding midfielder to sit in.

Things I’d love to see:

Ā

A win and another clean sheet

Ā

A Cags masterclass and redemption

Ā

A major resurgence and back to the form of pre collapse.Ā

Soyuncu, Tielemans, Mendy, Maddison to get new contracts.Ā
Ā

Continuing form for us to push the top 6 in a turn around on previous seasons where we finish really, really strong.Ā
Ā

I’d even be happy for Amartey to get a new contract if this happens.Ā
Ā

But most of all, I want us to really, really beat these.Ā
Ā

For we are Leicester and we all know that we’re better than our current position in the table suggests.

Ā

Lets smash these!!!Ā

Mendy was superb in that game, I assume he want players who are bit more forward thinking and can spring out attackes quicker.

Some poor posting...

Rodgers knew Haarland wasn't playing..

He's trying something different,why not.

We have criticised him for not having any imagination...

This was always a freeby, our normal selection wasn't considered good enough these last 2 weeks from withinside this forum...

Win or lose,he's trying something different...for that he deserves some

Kudos...
