Because he didn’t buy their attempts to cheat for a penalty. In all honesty in todays games many refs would have gave those decisions but for the credibility of the game I’m so glad he didn’t!

Karma is a b*tch for Uruguay. Got to love that.

 

The ref in the Uruguay-Ghana game was exceptionel in handling all the play acting and pressure from Uruguay. Very impressed.
