Hello,

A friend of mine was not able to attend the game against Leeds

So he sold his ticket to me at face value.

But I couldn't attend the game either so I offered it in a resale site for more than face value.

It was me who acted wrong and he was only trying to help

He got a stadium ban.

So I request releasing the ban because it was completely my fault and he didn't know about it.

Thanks

Thank you for not hiding, I appreciate that. Please just hold off on sending anything to the club for now. As someone has said, selling it to you in the first place might be enough for them to profit off my ticket for the next 20 months anyway.

Anyone got any advice on how best to proceed?

Magda, I don't want the money. You can give it to UnionFS or a charity associated with the club should you wish.

Yeh man don’t mention it being sold. Even if less than face value that’s a ban.

After reading through the terms and conditions for season tickets above it does not specifically mention the use of not using a third party platform? Add to the fact that you personally did not re sell the ticket either surely means they should see sense and reinstate your ticket

Edit: Unfortunately it is mentioned in the general terms and conditions.

Season Ticket Holders may only sell or transfer their Season Ticket (for an individual Match): (i) to a Guest with the express written consent of the Club given at the Club’s absolute discretion, provided that such transfer is in respect of an individual Match and in consideration of no payment or benefit and provided further that such transfer does not take place during the course of any business or for the purpose of facilitating any third party’s business; and/or (ii) to any person via the Club’s Official Season Ticket Resale platform, each such resale or transfer being subject to the Club’s Season Ticket Resale Terms and Conditions and the Conditions of Entry which will (save for any rights to transfer under this Condition 22) apply to and bind the recipient of the Season Ticket as if they were the original purchaser of the Season Ticket (and where the Season Ticket is sold or transferred to a Guest pursuant to this Condition 22 you must inform them of this). Any attempt to sell or transfer or otherwise dispose of the Season Ticket either (i) without the prior written consent of the Club; or (ii) via any method other than the Club’s Official Season Ticket Resale platform shall be a breach of these Season Ticket Terms and Condition and in such case the Club reserves the right to withdraw and cancel the Season Ticket without reimbursement.

Get in touch with this person too. They should be able to give you the right independent advice

Get onto the FSA and fair cop. At the very least they will create a fuss to which the club has to do something. They will go public at the very least if the clubs reply isn’t satisfactory.

Electronic season tickets only next season as well will make this much easier for them.

I will be buying the cheapest phone possible that supports mobile ticketing so I can pass it on.

Is not being able to resell tickets a UK, Premier League or LCFC thing?

It's the law. In England and Wales, it's a criminal offence to sell (or even give away) a ticket for a sporting event. The rationale is too criminalise ticket touting but unfortunately regular fans are caught up by the same legislation.

Club should also be held accountable for not provide a very good reselling platform, imho.

Shocking from the club though. Not really relevant to the post from the OP, but who is paying £200 for a ticket? Pretty sure that it wasn’t even a sell out.

There is a resale platform, it’s in the ‘my account’ section online

All jokes aside this is so sad. We are a community not just fans following one club. Fans generously offering their tickets/seats to those in need is very cool. When that deal is not honored it messes it up for everyone. I don't blame any of you ST holders for being stingy in the future. I know I would do the same. Hard to trust its blind faith. Anyway, hope you two boys get it all sorted out.

Apart from the fact that this is just a shit situation anyway and I genuinely feel sorry for you this also just makes it so that honest LCFC members like myself who aren’t high priority enough for certain games will never get to use tickets from fellow fans just wanting to help out.

I hope the club sort this out because a 2 year ban is ridiculous in itself.

And if they see all that's written on here? It's hardly a secret, the truths out there now.

I think you need to plead your case to he club, accept your mistake and your ignorance to the rules. Promise that it won’t happen again. And if Magda is decent enough to contact the club in unison with this plea, with his real name and accept that he is responsible for the trouble it’s caused hopefully the club will slap you on the wrist warn you and return the season ticket.

This is lesson for people however, I only ever give my season ticket to mates who I attend the matches with if I can’t go, never sell on.

But Magda and sdb need to message each other and discuss how they will contact the club to resolve each. At least Magda has replied so hopefully he will be willing to help resolve this.
