This result shows the mental resilience in the team at the moment. There’s times we’d have been bullied by West Ham and let a lead slip but we gave them very little and executed a well deserved away win

Fair play to Rodgers for turning things round, we looked dead and buried and now we've brilliant recently and really turned things around. He's been slated in the past for poor subs and poorly times subs and he got it spot on today. The triple sub put the game back in our favour after we were under the cosh. Fantastic and another clean sheet, he's slowly winning me back round after me being vociferously Rodgers out.

Another away win, with another clean sheet. Fantastic, can’t ask for much more than that. Great to be going into the break with two good wins.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing ..  all we had to do to sort out our weakness from corners and free kicks was to boot out Kasper and Evans ..  sell Fofana ..  bung in big Dan and buy Faes ..  who’d a thunk it ! ..  :)

 

Could have won the Prem again by now ..

After the early season horrors, I don’t think we could have asked for much more from Rodgers and the team by the World Cup break.

 

They have righted a lot of the recurring performance frailties - conceding from set pieces, defensive errors, conceding right after we’ve scored - and have picked up a number of wins whilst defending exceptionally. 
 

Wout Faes has been unbelievably good. Exactly the right style and profile of player at the right time for us. By **** did we need to get that signing right, so massive credit to the club for that.

 

We now have a platform to build from in the second half of the season and have the opportunity to further improve and climb the table. Throw into that progress in the League Cup and hopefully some funds available for the January window, then suddenly things are looking up.

 

I was very much of the opinion that despite the results against Forest, Leeds, and Wolves that the away trips to Everton and West Ham - would be the big tests for Rodgers. Yet here we are with 6 points, 4 goals, 2 clean sheets and some very solid showings. We played one team off the pitch, and won ugly in the other game. Both very different types of wins, and both encouraging for different reasons. Long may it continue.

Bug balls type kudos to BR and his subs in the last few games. They have been spot on. Well done Brendan you deserve the praise. I was BR out but the last 8 matches have made me change my mind.

Only thing that could have made today better was that Amartey rocket finding the top corner.

Loved seeing him casually beat a man and then unleash from 30 yards, shame the keeper got a hand to it
