Twitter stuff about Elanga on loan but not sure how strong it is.

Hang on - yes he’s made big contributions here and he’s been a steady eddy - but let’s look at this objectively…

He’s been on the decline for some time now, but we need a replacement surely?

And for those saying we need leaders and elder statesmen when fighting relegation… he’s been part of the leadership group that’s got us in this mess remember.

This makes sense in many ways imo.

You can see him sticking his hand up to help us out in that way too. All the while we’re paying for ****ing a multi millionaire’s paternity leave

2 wingers? You ain't including Perez are ya?

He played there for us for a few years, so yeah.

Only Leicester would go into a window short on wide men, finally sign one, only to then sell two and end up with less players to fill those positions. I really hope this means Harrison is coming, but I won’t be shocked if he isn’t.

He's Mr Consistant, even as he's getting older. Technically there's better players at the club but it's very rare at full time that anyone would blame Albrighton for a bad result. We have a lack of leaders on the pitch. That's part of the problem.

Same as Kasper and kingy this.

Yes they are loved, and respected... But we have to let go of the past and try to move forward because he's no spring chicken these days, and like the other two, on the decline for a while now

There has to be somebody else coming as well. It makes no sense to agree to this if there isn't.

Feels a shame that, again, another icon of the past decade is going without a proper farewell.

Journos say Elanga stays at United
