Great move for him. Was struggling to tie down a starting position with Madders and Praet ahead of him. Now Tete and Ricardo to come back would give him even less minutes.

A club legend and fair play to him for wanting to go out and play football…unlike a certain Scandinavian centre half.

Good luck to Kevin, he wants to play football and he'll get that at West Brom, highly unlikely to get any game time for the rest of the season now here. He's served us very well.

We have a diminishing squad and more worryingly one that is full of players ready to move on with little care. Albrighton just being around the place gives me more confidence. It' another awful decision for me.

Thats modern football, and if it wasn't that way we wouldn't have ever signed Maguire, souttar, fofana, Tete ect ect

A lot of you have to stop living in the past. He's a great guy and a model pro but you don't get prizes for trying, he's not the player he once was.

Thanks Marc, but we go on

Yes, but with Albrighton gone and Perez, we’ve now got only Tete who can play on the right? Just seems a needless risk, given our injury record. And in a relegation battle season we’ve lost another model pro and part of the old guard…

He's a professional footballer who wants to play regular games. Always a trier, honest player, good temperament; achieved remarcable things.

Never know, we might need him next season. Get the low down on the Championship for us!

Would have been worth his weight in gold when we inevitably hit the very business end of the season too.

This is the real kicker for me. You're letting go IMO the single senior pro at the club who seems to give a shit and provides a genuine example to lead from, heading into some absolutely crucial months. He won't return unless we have injuries, and even then I imagine Rodgers wouldn't recall him.

You also have folks like Vestergaard, Bertrand and I guess also Soyuncu still hanging around Seagrave stinking up the place with an attitude of "I'm getting my wage, who cares".

Said it already, will say it again - the mentality of our new signings is going to be absolutely crucial, because I don't trust anyone in the current squad to galvanise us, including Vardy or Evans.

Tete, maddison, preat all on the right, with Ricardo coming back in 3 or so weeks

Defence was a bigger problem than the wing ever was*. We'll be fine

I think it's the right move for him but about 6 months early for us given we got no one else in; I'm not quite sure he's top-flight quality any more but having him around is infinitely better than...nobody. At the very least you know he's not going to half arse any chance he gets.

Scorer of some massive goals for us and has been a huge signing on a free. Fair play to him for wanting to play when we've got 16 stone of Scandinavian corned beef sat on the bench every week.

The one time we looked like we had actually not left ourselves a player short we've managed it in the knick of time. We better pray our injuries take a turn for the better because this just seems like a totally unnecessary risk for me.

Hope he gets them promoted however.

Good move for Marc but bad for the club, and personally I’m gutted. Probably my favourite player, incredible work rate and great with the fans too.

Wtf man. All that promise of today and we’ve ended up worse off.

Can’t wait to see Praet panting after 5 mins of chasing the left back on 60 mins at 2-0 down every week. At least Marc got stuck in

Gutted and a questionable decision by Leicester, when he does play something does happen.

Exactly - whenever he’s subbed on it always gives me some hope.

Terrible decision to let him leave. Our vice captain, one of our few older players and that experience is vital in a relegation battle. He is also useful to have around as he can cover at right back too. We now have less options in attack than we did before this window, Tete gets injured and we're seriously screwed.

Sounds like he wanted game time (meaning I can't see him coming back to be the last man standing). Also more off the wage bill. Good luck to him.

Gutted, as yet another of our miracle men departs. We can't live in the past though and Vardy will follow in the summer I am sure.

After reading his statement, I totally get it. He deserves to finish his last few years on the pitch, not on the bench.

Good luck and thanks for everything! What a player, what a guy!

Seems like Rodgers is keen to break up and get rid of the premier league winners squad. Just Jamie left now.

Much as I love them this isn't the wrong decision, a good manager gets out in front of these things. We shouldn't have offered Vardy a new contract.
