Telegraph: "Four years on, the Brendan Rodgers formula is still Leicester City's best bet"

I don't really understand why anyone would have a problem with Kasper being captain. Be interesting to know the whos and whys.

He is very much like his Dad, I think. The problem with Kasper is that he is just so intense and falls out with people, he downed tools under both Ranieri and Puel.

I am not basing this on any concrete evidence, but I reckon that the attitude towards him was one of acceptance based on the fact that he was a good keeper.

I reckon that he continued to maintain good relations with the older players like Vardy and Evans. However, I would imagine that his authority was questioned when his form dropped last year.

Stringer just labelled it as a ‘balanced article’ on Twitter. I agree with some of his arguments, but this is clearly not neutral. The brown-nosing is so evident.

I guess from a journalist point of view, he wants to maintain good relations so he can extract good information, but this is classic Rodgers propaganda.

A couple of good results (which he bases his argument around) and the wool is pulled back over the eyes of the footballing world. Football fans are fickle, but not this fickle, the jury is still out.

I feel that the individual is brown-nosing by claiming the article is neutral.

Made more sense then allowing the players to pick Albrighton as vice captain. Still dont understand how Vardy isnt the club captain after being here 11 years and all his achievements, very strange

He’s too much of a lad.  He’s more likely to lead them to where all the best parties are :D. At least he used to, don’t know about these days

think Roy Keane and his perfectionism  and that’s fairly close to Kasper.  It might work at Man United or Barcelona  but it’s likely to get some people annoyed at Leicester because some of our players just don’t have the ability or mindset to do the things he expects..

Funnily enough Keane couldn't stand Peter Schmeichel

Wax and wane on opinion of Rodgers, this winds me up though

Cos makes it seem like he is persisting with Ward due to arguments he had with Kasper. Imagine Kasper’s position might have been you can’t drop me, bloke behind me gets smaller every time the oppo have a shot

now we have to watch the clown Prince in goal every week

"Leicester City face Arsenal on Saturday with relegation still possible, but faith in the manager has been restored by recent performances"

We've won 2 in 8 league games lol

2 in the last 3 though and a promising start to the game against Man United, where 3-0 flattered them. There's definitely been an upturn, it's just whether or not it's sustained now. Either way it will be tough to get a positive result tomorrow.

He's right. We score loads of goals and a lot of the time the football is wicked. We've had periods where we keep clean sheets and i'd admit that needs work to get it back to the required level, hopefully we get a propoer goalkeeper in. The biggest negative that comes with Brendan for me is the mental weakness throughout the side when it comes to crunch moments and i've been saying that a lot longer than most on here. The positives outweigh the negatives and the players go out and play for him and the heirarchy of the club trust him. I see no reason to rock the boat.

Good assessment.

We should have scored against United but 3-0 wasn't flattering given how open we were.

Take our chances and go 2-0 it's a different game, we don't have to be as open.

Goals change games.

People need to remember there is a difference between being liked and being respected.

Also if you are the 3rd highest paid keeper in the league you have to be playing like the 3rd best-paid keeper in the league.

The Rodgers era will be viewed as a success but there's been an undoubted decline during it of which so many in the media seem to make him totally unaccountable for and that's what I think creates so much of the vitriol.

A balanced view i would say.

So what if Kasper was a shouty bastard, wish we had someone like that in the outfield. In fact Ward can FOAD and Kasper can come home.

It wouldnt even surprise me if Rodgers refusal to drop Ward is to prove to Schmeichel we can be alright without him.

Did i mention Ward can FOAD?

The whole stuff about Peter Schmeichel saying he wants to go and would have already if one of the big six wanted him was a bit of an indication of what he was like.

He's a club legend and done more for us than any Goalkeeper, but we should delude ourselves from what footballers are like.

Awww did Kasper shout at his teammates and demand high standards? That's not welcome at little old Leicester. Let's return to our box like the nice little club we are. Pfffttt
