Slow start to week and always wanted to try and create a poll, so here goes! Apologies in advance if nothing happens!

But if we could win only one of these two upcoming games, which one would you choose? No draws/replays/both type nonsense. Just which one would you prefer we won?

It’s a boring Monday morning so I thought I’d start the ball rolling. I will be upset if we lose either of these but losing to southampton could have more serious and longer term consequences. I think the question should be qualified to if we win the other though to avoid confusion.

Lose to Blackburn could seriously affect confidence.

So as it stands and as Blackburn comes 1st I'll pick Blackburn

Blackburn.

I'm taking my 9 year old lad to his 2nd game at lcfc.

First one was Wolves when he was about 5 and we won.

He cried everytime we scored a goal because of the noise!!!

If we lose tomorrow  he will hate lcfc!!!

I'd usually go for the cup over anything, but given our position and the importance of Saturday's game it's hard not to choose that.

Relegation could lead to us being unable to compete for cups/Europe in the future, so for the sake of one season I think it's worth it.

That said, there's no reason we have to choose between them and should be looking to win both!

Blackburn.

Might draw against Southampton (a loss will be really tough to take in our current predicament). But a win against Blackburn furthers a cup run which, after our success 2 years ago, is something I want more of.

How good would it be if we won another FA Cup so soon after winning our first?

Think there's a much greater chance of 2-3 points being the difference between us staying up and going down than there is of us winning an FA Cup Quarter Final, Semi-Final & Final right now. I'd love to see us win the FA Cup again, more than I'd like us to stay up, but we aren't going to do it and those extra points could keep us up and greatly increase our chance of winning something noteworthy in the future.

The FA Cup any day of the week. We could still stay up losing to Southampton

Imagine the knock-on effect for morale losing to a lower tier side with nothing to look forward to for the rest of the season

Focusing on the cup is like getting a luxury car when you can't afford your mortgage / rent. Need priorities and right now it's survival in the league.

You got my attention (and my vote) with that one.

But to overextend your analogy -- those who think “we have to total the car to get rid of the driver” will only be further moved to put more money into the Rolls, to drive it off a cliff.

I think our schedule right now is light enough to play strong XIs, without complete rotation.  Maddison 60’ in both games, say.  What I don’t want to see is a replay.

good news, that's impossible. there's no replays in this round
