The Port vale DOF football has been criticised and abused. Fans unhappy like the majority of City fans are.

The club owner released a statement with objectives the DOF had been given.

Just wished we could have communication from the club like this.

Wow - amazing level of transparency that we can only dream of.

I know nothing of Port Vale so could be bollocks, but sounds sincere to me

This is a great statement and shows what can be achieved with clear and open communication. However I would add that Rudkin hasn’t really come in for much criticism or abuse at games, the odd half hearted chant or occasional banner, most of the criticism has been levelled on forums such as this. So even if Top or the club were to engage with the supporters, I am not really sure the current situation necessarily merits such a.statement.

Your right, I just feel the club could be better on that front.

Rudkin deserves praise for getting €9m for Kamal Sowah. There I said it.

I was gutted when we didn't give him a chance after his 20/21 season at OHL, 8 goals and 6 assists.

But in hindsight it was a brilliant piece of business.

I would be critical of the lack of partnership working between us and OHL, think both club could benefit more from working closer together.

Yeah I was too, this is the risk with cashing in on young players and it's about striking the balance. I think what swayed it was the fee was considerably high going the other way than perhaps if it was a PL team signing from Belgium and he'd only got experience there and no real affiliation with the UK so the combination probably made it a very good deal for us.

History suggests an incredible deal as bar some decent performances in the CL for Brugge, he's struggled to kick on.

Tops open letter:

Jon had one objective.

A) Blindly back your choice of manager regardless of how bleak the future looks with every poor decision that's made.

To be fair, he nailed it.

Never forget we could have been saddled with Jesse Marsch on a 3 year contract, sickening

That would've been an absolute disaster.. Thank goodness we ended up with Enzo.

We're 2 attacking midfielders shy in the middle now.

If kdh has a bad game or winks or Ricardo get injured, we don't really have a quality substitute.

Hamza and praet just not good enough.

No problem. Wilf said that he was only out for a couple of weeks so will be available on Tuesday. I think.

Anyone else concerned we could lose him to Newcamel if Man United steal their DOF?  Very worrying and could derail our season at a blink of an eye.

There’s more chance of you playing centre forward on Saturday

(I do realise you were being ironic)

Ashworth is one of the best around and the standard that Rudkin should be measured against. While he's still picking up latte's for Top and taking up 1 salary for 4 jobs though, we don't need to worry about him being anything close to elite.

It actually looks like Racliffe has a brain, this could actually be a turning point if someone with an iota of footballing intelligence is allowed to play with their resources.
