Today is a big day…massive in fact. Flop in this and we’re going down with the Saints. Man City next and that more than likely is a hammering. A loss here followed by that will kill any sort of confidence that we have.

To be honest im happy with a Bielsa or Marsch style of football. More akin to Klopp than what we have been use to. We have pace and some technical ability in the side and we insist on playing slow. Set the hares loose i reckon and get 4 or 5 wins out of 9 to get 40points.

It’s all relative to the season isn’t it, but it’s up there. For example, the West Ham at home game at the begging on the great escape was bigger I’d argue (as we were further cut adrift).

We have to attack them today. It has to be a performance like Spurs at home.

 

Tuesday night was a really odd choice of game plan that missed an opportunity to capitalise on the atmosphere. We can’t let another one of those opportunities pass us by.

 

We haven’t won a game all season in the league by a single goal so it’s blindingly clear that we struggle in tight games or games where we go behind. We need to try and get a couple ahead early on to ease the pressure.
