Because a worn out Vardy is better than Daka who is shockingly poor.

Also Nacho is better but erratic.

Vardy gets played as he's class at his best and the best we have at his worst!

Let's have a bit of respect for a champion.

And a premier League record holder.

To put it nicely, this is absolute nonsense lmao

To quote the great Jez Usborne

Everything has turned from gold to shit.

What on earth has happened at this club to cause us to fritter away the brilliant standing and foundations we had in such short time?

I hope we'll find out when the dust settles because it's mind boggling how quickly we've gone from the best run club in league to worst by a mile.

Rip the glory years 2014-2021.

And I still love a chip shop fritter…See if we can use scratchings to save ourselves.

Could tell something was seriously wrong before kick off. Victor was practising on his own and most were just doing little passes to each other. Everything looked wrong, and Madders looked seriously Mardy for the 2nd match in a row. And my god that line up! But what is worse is that it was obvious it wasn’t working in the first 15 mins. Soumare has had some bad games but this was by far his worst. Literally has two left feet and wants all the time in the world to make simple decisions. How he was not hooked off before half time is beyond me. But for him and Amartey to get 90 mins is crazy.

SaS massively fecked up the last 2 games.  God knows what they have been doing since Tuesday but working on team spirit wasn’t part of it. No difference between a poor Rodgers line up and the setup today. These 2 need sacking as it’s clear they offer nothing and are clearly continuing the Rodgers rot with no fresh ideas. We have to seriously consider if Madders has the balls to see out the season. I think his heads been turned and he’s not up for it.

Seems we move on to the Marsch era. To be fair, SaS has been exactly the same as the crap we wanted rid of, so Marsch could be the tonic to give us a glimmer of hope this season. I don’t see it personally, but we can’t stay with what we have. If he can weave some magic this year then he gets my backing. Someone has do to something with this bunch.

If I could give a plus point, I thought Wout defended well and Iversen made some excellent saves. Iversen kicking is fecking woeful. My 11 year old son offers more, but at least Iversen can actually make a save.

Not forgetting Souttar, best player that at least ran on the pitch, even if he wasn’t playing..

I'm not sure how any striker would have much of an impact. How often does the ball gets worked into places where even peak Vardy would be able to make himself a nuisance?

Clearly he's faded, but I fail to see he, Daka, or Nacho consistently influencing games. So the problem isn't the individual striker necessarily, but rather what we're doing with him. Or not.

We won't take risks in attacking positions that allow them to affect the game. For too long it's been about recycling play instead of going for the jugular.

If we do take a risk, it's usually Maddison (or occasionally Barnes) trying to add to his highlights reel from outside the box when, for once in a blue moon, there's actually a chance to play in one of our strikers.

Main conclusion after todays game and the Villa match? Sadler and Stowell CANNOT be in charge for the next match. Simply bizarre lineups in both games and bizarre game plans. Vardy up front and then on his own both games - Iheanacho ignored. Ndidi and Mendy playing together and employed in an unnecessarily defensive double pivot and KDH completing a non creative midfield against Villa. Soumare playing alongside Ndidi in another unnecessary and ineffective double defensive pivot against Bournemouth. Praet ignored both games. Souttar inexplicably dropped despite being unbeatable in the air at both ends of the pitch, resulting in Amartey being bullied by Solanke and us looking toothless again at corners. Ricardo playing as the more advanced winger today (and having an absolute shocker) when Castagne prefers that role and Ricardo likes to attack from deeper. On top of this a new trait of a distinct lack of press in both games alongside the usual lack of movement and energy we’ve got accustomed to under Rodgers. Basically they’ve managed to make me regret the sacking of Rodgers. I can’t believe even he would’ve set up this badly against these two teams. What an absolute shambles….

I'm grateful to whoever leaked the team changes. It was a shock to find out that Amartey and Soumare were coming in, Souttar was out, and Vardy again up front. But it meant we all knew what was going to happen... It all stinks, and nearly all of us on this board can see that. The one thing we can't work out, is why the coaches can't see what the rest of us can?

not calling you out in particular but all these players you’ve listed have been slaughtered on here in the past. Screams of careful what you wish for doesn’t it

Iheanacho is a better striker than the Vardy we have now. He’s done.

Positivity is only matched by actions. Before the game I was reading about Sadler ‘remaining positive’. We then start with 7 defensive players in a must-win home match against a fellow struggler.  These two interim managers can’t pick a team or motivate them.  With so many defenders it was no surprise that we lacked forward momentum, creativity and ‘positive’ drive.  No surprise either that we conceded from another negative back pass. I’ll always love Jamie but he alone up front won’t win us games anymore.

With results going against us, I fear that even remaining positive isn’t enough now.

Feeling really down about this sh1t.  We could all see it coming ages ago and nothing has been done to stop the rot.

That said, they’ll always be my team and I’ll support them in any league.

Can someone please explain to me why Souttar was dropped . I don't understand it !!

Sadler came out with some tosh in his post match interview about needing to freshen up the team a bit. Not sure CB changes are the way to "freshen up" a team....

Apparently he was tired after his trip to Australia and couldn’t get through three games in a week

Sell:
- Ward

- Smithies

- Bertrand

- Amartey

- Vestergaard

- Castagne

- Barnes

- Maddison (best player we have but not a leader and only plays well when the team do)

- Soumare

- Ndidi

- Praet
- Daka

- Evans (injuries/wages)

Keep:
- Mendy

- Iheanacho
- Kristiansen

- Souttar (bench)

- KDH (bench)

- Pereira
- Thomas (loan)

- Soyuncu

- Justin

- Faes (not great not horrendous)

Retire:

- Vardy

None of the 'keep' list are staying at city. When we go down FFP will be a distant problem. Being docked points for not adhering to stricter championship financial fair play rules will be brutal. We are in danger or going into a death spiral and it may almost be impossible to stop.  This is just the beginning.

Utterly ****ing abysmal. From the team selection to the set up to the style of play to the general attitude of the players. Topped off by another soft, "there's always next week" interview from a coach of this club.

How can we sack a failing, limited coach and get even worse?!

By sticking 2 goalkeepers in to manage the team. It ain’t gonna be attacking football is it.
