China was booked for Feb 2020, but our departure changed to Singapore. And on the same trip Japan, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and India refused us entry.

It turned out Feb/Mar 2020 wasn’t ideal for an Asia tour !

 

Had Cuba, Guatemala and Honduras booked, but Donald Trump rescinded the travel permit, and we sailed by.

Wow some really well travelled folks on the forum. 
 

I have a lifetime goal of reaching 100, using the UN countries list here:

 

Countries recognised by 🇺🇳 UN

 

So I don’t count the UK as multiple countries, but Jersey, Gibraltar and Hong Kong for example do count. 
 

Airport transfers don’t count. However I do count North Korea half tongue in cheek as I walked around the negotiating table in the DMZ.

Quality, from your list Argentina and Korea(s) are the ones that stand out for me that I want to do. Similarly, I want to get to 100 too. I am sure I will get there as long as I keep my health and don't become an anxiety-ridden fart that wants to anchor myself to a beach in Santorini every year as a holiday. One factor I am sure of, the other not so much!!!

Assuming he mentioned North America because he went to all 3 countries. I get why you might call out majorca and menorca etc.

 

Given Ontario is the size of like 1/10 the size of all of europe i could probably add 10 cities within Ontario that count as their own country lol

Thanks for that UN list, it was interesting to read.

 

Although I've never really worked out (and cba to look) how, for example, the UK comes in as one unit, but the Dutch Antilles is separated out into individual countries whilst all belonging to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. 

 

Same with BVI's, but some of the other Caribbean islands are separated. And the Isle of Man?! 

 

Anyway, I'm up to 82 on the UN list...and honestly have absolutely no desire to visit any of the places that I've missed out. Apart from the Isle of Man, obviously.
