Honestly, the more times I watch it, the more I think that he really didn't mean that, he didn't expect the 1-2 and it was more of a ricochet off his foot rather than a pass. Anyhow, he made it happen (knowingly or unknowingly) so credit to him.

Harsh, I think it's clear he meant it. I don't think it was a worldie pass that some are making it to be though, there was a huge space to play it into and the run was clearly visible.

Played it perfectly and a good flowing move overall, though.

How Rodgers could have kept Cags out of the side I just can’t believe he Cags showed in 10 min of the Man City game what we’ve been missing in defence all season, against wolves yesterday he showed what a beast he really is his willingness and calmness ( at times) to order the defence around and his partnership with Wout is quality !

Great to see a fight and spirit back in the squad and even tho we had a few important players injured or sick we still have a display to be proud of, Dean Smith and Co have given us back our belief our fighting spirit and yesterday was amazing the atmosphere the crowd getting behind the lads when going 1 down was nothing short of getting ours as fans Mojo back too. So onto Dirty Leeds Tuesday hopefully have Barnes & Madders back get another 3 points to achieve our Greater Escape !

It was nice to feel some pride in the club again. It wasn't pretty by any means and some of the passing was atrocious but we actually had players taken accountability and playing with some urgency. Was also lovely to see us come out strong in the second half. Something our previous fraud of a manager was unable to make us do

I want to know how Diego Costa got away with grabbing someone around the neck without punishment.

Anyway major West Ham / Andy King vibes to that yesterday. Second half finally some much needed aggression and the fans gave it back which in turn made Soumare, Kristansen and a couple of others confidence soar from a pretty poor first half.

I was really pleased for the players yesterday for not only grinding out the result but doing it without our two top scorers and most important players. Considering a lot of that team have been fringe players for a year or two, it showed that there's still enough quality in the squad to get us out of this mess. Turns out all it took to bring it out of them was having a manager that didn't tell them all they're shit every week.

Although please Deano never ever play Daka on the wing again 😂

Seems like a little pop at Rodgers from our Timmy. :appl:

Touché Timmy exactly the sort of Subtle dig Rogers would get in a lot, at the board/players/fans

What I appreciated yesterday was the willingness of the team/management to keep pressing for a winner.

So many times of late, seeing the game pan out while level or a goal behind, with an eye on the clock, hope just disappears.

Yesterday was the polar opposite and refreshing to see. Fair play to all involved (crowd included as they no doubt helped push the team forward for a victory).

Another grim facet of the Rodgers reign was the tendency to let the game drift at crucial moments and losing any kind of momentum. They had pressure at the end and we dropped off but we always looked fully involved in the game. The comment about not giving up too many chances is key, we didn't leave Iversen exposed and having to do too much.

I was getting flashbacks when Castagne scored.

Ball played in low from the left, swept home with a sweet left footer.

And now you're gonna believe us.

The last game before yesterday I went to was the 2-2 draw with Brighton, same 2-1 score we find ourselves in, Smith brings on Mendy, Praet and Ndidi and sees the game out, Rogers brings on Maddison to gave him some minutes after an injury and we throw away 2 points. That day it definitely felt like we are coasting why is this coach not doing something to change the course. I don't think Maddison particularly helped that situation where we were so deep defending. As Praet and Mendy were in the team that day, I guess Ndidi was injured the only midfield options we had were Mc Ateer and Brunt, with Cags and Vesty as further CBs. 3 at the back in the last 10 minutes never seemed to help us when Rogers did that, so I don't know what subs he could of made reflecting but tactical tweaks are always an option if you don’t trust the bench.

Hopefully won’t need to as Harvey “rip down the wing” Barnes will be back Tuesday 🏹

Same here. He twice floored Cags, who was quite gracious about it. Then there was the ludicrous dive and penalty claim, and he was constantly complaining to the ref.

Wow.

After watching an astonishing turn around and attacking intent of the last week after 2 years of boring, pedestrian, dull and pointless football, you’ve found a list of negatives.

Seriously, if you can’t enjoy today then football isn’t for you

I did really enjoy today.  It was fantastic to get a win but I’m staying realistic.

While everyone is enjoying the positives, which I am too, let’s not get carried away.  It also doesn’t mean that what I said is incorrect.
