Lovely well worked goal

Left back to right back. Lovely.

What was that VAR handball check all about? No one, players or fans, appealed for a penalty that I noticed. :dunno: Have to admit that I feared the worst when that appeared on the screen.

The most important part of today was the result, when we went 1-0 down, I looked around at the body language it didn't inspire much belief in me or a lot of the crowd, as it did go quiet for about 20 minutes, as soon as we equalised though the atmosphere was brilliant. Most importantly the last game I went to was Brighton at home where we found ourselves in a similar position, even though in that game Brighton didn't look threatening, there was a real nervous energy in the ground, an it felt almost inevitable that we were going to concede that day. The horrors of so many points thrown away was in the hearts and minds of those in KP today, as the noise made in the last 10-15 minutes from the crowd was brilliant, it was almost a collective this isn’t happening again today, not any more a new sheriff is in town now.

I think about 5 mins later Kdh made a good save and I was surprised that weren't checked

Enjoyed that, massive win. Place felt different and the atmosphere was really good.

First half wasn't pretty but much improved second half and a great goal to win it.

By the letter of the law it's a pen. Arm out and clearly hits it, no matter if he expected it or not. The handball rules this season though, no-one understands them and you may as well just draw the decision out of a hat in most games.

Sorry been a hectic couple of weeks for me and haven’t been able to check in very often here or with the team in general. Could I ask two probably obviously questions……..

Did Soumare play DM?

Was Souttar dropped? Has he not been performing?

We didn’t really play a dm until wilf came on but boba was our deepest midfielder up till that point

souttar was considered the worst of the three who played last week so missed out - has to be someone

I haven't seen a lot of Soumare, but today he looked more like the YouTube compilations when we signed him, driving forward with the ball, sitting deeper when we were under the cosh and playing triangles, I wouldn't say he was a DM as he was instrumental in the 2nd goal, an getting us higher up the pitch, more of a no 8 is what I seen.

Know nothing about the game other than the result and that's all that matters.

Onwards and upwards.

As well as all the the positives others have mentioned, I noticed that we caught them offside quite a lot, which suggests we're much more organised defensively.  Recently there has usually been someone playing them onside.

Wolves looked a good side, more enterprising than previous teams they've brought.

To win without Maddison and Barnes is huge.

Sat watching the highlights with an absolutely rancid mac and cheese ready meal after a couple of pints of lager, and bloody hell, we have sent those Wolfs back to Walsall good and proper today

Definitely the sort of game we'd have ended up drawing or even losing had Rodgers still been here - and as others have already said, not least because of his refusal to play Soyuncu (today's MOTM) in place of .... Amartey!! Also good that we won minus two key players in Madders and Barnes - also as others have said! Worth a repeat mention though! :)

Plus with Ndidi and then Maddison giving the opposition strikers the ball in dangerous positions in those successive recent home games we lost too - resulting in the infamous late defeat to Villa and then the equally infamous one to Bournemouth of course....

Interesting whoever the woman doing co-comms on Sky was saying she thought it was handball. And Kristiansen's cross wasn't that great.

It was almost like she didn't know what she was talking about.

Not stating other people weren't involved, also how do you know he isn't picking out Castagne over Iheanacho?

Agree…

Nacho opened it up for Castagna…Dont know some want to dig something out..

Kris put in an excellent cross, forwards movement made the goal..

We scored..:dunno:

No. Unlike the farcical champions league rules, the domestic rule accounts for distance the ball travels before it hits an arm - it clearly comes off a wolves player a fraction of a second before it hits Faes’ arm, removing his chance to react, so it shouldn’t be given. If it had looped in all the way from the corner and hit his arm with no other contact, then it would be a pen.
