Resigned myself to seeing no play today, but I'll keep their forecast up. As you say, it's the most optimistic of the lot.

I'm up in Preston right now and it's brighter than it's meant to be.

I’m in Liverpool and it’s absolutely hammering it down.

I'm literally 5 minutes from Old Trafford and it's very, very wet, and supposedly going to keep raining for most of the day. Highly doubt we see any play today.

Yeah I’m near Old Trafford and it’s absolutely diabolical. I expect play to be abandoned for the day early afternoon with the amount of rain that the outfield will have to take in.

These northern hovels complain when they don’t get selected to host and the pissing rain is probably going to ruin our chance

Yes, Birmingham is much nicer

Manchester especially is a ludicrous choice of venue for a game predicated on 5 consecutive days without rain. There has never been 5 consecutive days without rain in Manchester, ever.

This has nothing to do with me living in South London but all 5 Tests should be at the Oval imo.

AccuWeather predicting rain to stop at 12:30.

Surely if every other forecast is not predicting that, then accu weather probably isn’t that accu?

We're likely only going to know at that time, but I've used it over here for a long while and it has been pretty reliable.

If they have enough of those squidgy things to dry the outfield, I reckon we could maybe squeeze an hour or two this afternoon and perhaps up to three tomorrow pm

that should be enough time to roll them over if we’re good enough

The met office model is not far away as per my above post. It’s Possible that accuweather take their data from the met office model

That's not where Hope is. Hope's in Derbyshire.

Also, there will be gaps in the rain and an hour or two of play over the two days which is way more than England will need. They'll win by an innings, and do it easily.

It is not. Birmingham is a city permanently covered in smog and misery.
