Can imagine the VAR just not wanting any part in deciding a game that's balanced as a reasonable and harmless draw And the reasoning for not giving it was pathetic. Can’t remember exactly what was relayed now but something like “his intention was to play the ball” 2
cruzFOX Posted 10 March 2024 Posted 10 March 2024 Would have taken gonads the size of busters for the officiating to give that penalty to Liverpool.Given the high stakes, global audience, pressure etc. they must have all been praying for full time and a draw. Imo based on how many of these follow thrus have been given and the danger of a high contact should have been a red card. oh well all hugs at the end. arses get to relax a little they are still in pole position.
Popular Post RonnieTodger Posted 10 March 2024 Popular Post Posted 10 March 2024 Hiring a referee consultant in Mark Clattenburg is the most embarrassing thing a Premier League club has done. Pathetic self-victimisation from Forest. 2 5

Not the most popular or liked I know but does he have a point here ? Big name ref in the middle who maybe doesn’t like being overruled. https://twitter.com/richardajkeys/status/1767062058401460510?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet
Trent Steel Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 Definitely a foul by Doku and a stonewall pen. Can't believe the ref and VAR bottled it. Its like they are getting revenge on Klopp for his previous ref comments or they simply just want Man City to win it again. 110% pen and they bottled it. 1

Pathetic self-victimisation from Forest. You have to wonder if it is bound to backfire. The PL refs know Clattenburg well as a mediocre ex-colleague. And especially as a self-aggrandizing b**** who chased the money in Saudi, published an autobiography, and went on ESPN to critique their work to a huge audience in real time. Now he's grabbing a few more pounds critiquing them directly to their bosses and in the media. His whole career is to make a mockery of their code of omerta. Could a conscious or subconscious desire to lift a middle finger to him and/or his new job shade marginal calls? If intimidation is Marinakis’ intent, he’s screwed up yet again. One of the refs already told him to get lost when he tried to go into the referee's room to speak to them at a ground last week. 3
bovril Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 I think regularly about that chav in goal for Aston Villa saying he's a believer, "mate", when asked about their title chances.

Super_horns Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 Looks like a new set of financial rules will be coming which are in ,ine with UEFA's https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13092774/premier-leagues-profit-and-sustainability-rules-to-be-replaced-as-early-as-this-summer
trabuch Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 From a distance that hat makes Ian Wright look remarkably like Dwayne Dibley. 2
Matt Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 Painful watching Chelsea play out from a goalkick. Gary Neville calling it out for what it is too He was doing it the other week and he's doing it again tonight, thing is they're not the only team that do it and they're not the only team who struggle to do it/cause their own problems by doing it but they're the only team I notice he points it out with.
EastAnglianFox Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 Really like that Isak, think he could play for one of the proper big boys if he wasn’t so injury prone 2 1

Well we do it and often get caught out in some way. It’s as if managers and players have been conditioned to think it’s the only way to play ! Chelsea will probably be hoping their next spending spree will bring a few more Cole Palmers in . Edited 11 March 2024 by Super_horns 1
StanSP Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 Would Chelsea be in bottom 3 if they didn't have the goals and assists of Palmer?
UniFox21 Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 Sterling is so selfish and wasteful in these situations, simple pass sidewards and Palmer has a much better chance. Palmer also should be in the euro squad, has been exceptional in a frankly shite Chelsea side 3

Leicester_Loyal Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 Aye Howe won’t be there next season surely.
LFox99 Posted 11 March 2024 Posted 11 March 2024 (edited) Newcastle have a shite run til the end of the season and they could easily finish in 12th. That could mean a drop off of about 20m just in premier league prize money (compared to last season), not to mention the loss of European money. Will probably see them having to flog Guimares this summer, perhaps alongside players like Wilson, Lascelles etc Edited 11 March 2024 by LFox99
