The obvious domestic options have moved already. I am curious about the sudden massive increase in us being linked to young players in South America, I wonder if there is anything in that… we can dream. I think it’s important that whoever it is won’t be eligible for Afcon. Can’t afford to be left with only Vardy for more than a month. Edited 27 August 2023 by FoxesWalk 1

Oscar Bobb, Borgess, Archer and Rak-Sakyi would have been the ideal pick-ups for me. Casadei may be the creative player centrally who links the midfield with the forwards, but that would have been the ideal role for Bobb and you wonder if both could have occupied the central roles. Final balls to the wide players and playing runners into the box, do tend to be something we just do not get right, we desperately need the quality centrally.

If we pull both off in the next 48hrs I can see something like Chair & THB perms in with AFI on loan. Think that then takes the pressure off needing to sell Daka and Soumaré and we can be satisfied just with loans. Get this all done and I think we've had a good window - better than I expected. We'd also have absolutely no excuse to not get automatics.

Would leave us with around £47m in profit so far for the year if Chair and TBH take up the full £25m raised.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 28 August 2023 Posted 28 August 2023 If Daka is to leave and we need another striker, I honestly think the idea of a Target man up top who’s good in the air and good in the link up play would be ideal. One thing I’ve noticed is we put in a lot of aerial crosses but don’t really have many lads who can attack the ball in the air. Anyone got any realistic options?

Leaburn from Charlton feels the obvious one. Even his middle name is Lester. 2

Popular Post Foxes96 Posted 28 August 2023 Popular Post Posted 28 August 2023 Bernabé for me if Wilf goes. 2 goals in 2 games already this season. Left footed as well so would provide a natural alternative to KDH, and should be reasonably affordable. Signed a short term contract extension this summer, but imagine that’s more to ensure Parma get a decent fee with him likely to move on. KDH - Winks - Casadei Bernabé - Hamza - Praet 5
FrankieADZ Posted 28 August 2023 Posted 28 August 2023 in an ideal world, given the window is coming to a close quickly, not counting the Issahaku deal the last few signing i think would be good would be..... THB, Doyle and Leaburn but think its more a pipe dream getting all 3 of them ive mentioned

Sly Posted 28 August 2023 Posted 28 August 2023 Our great start does help us attract players. It sort of proves we want to get back out of this league at the first time of asking. 42 games to go. If we pay the right money, they’ll still be earning more than they get for lower France, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal. The Championship is the 5th most watched league in the world for a reason.
Tommy Fresh Posted 28 August 2023 Posted 28 August 2023 Someone used to suggest this fella from Metz all the time
