Akor Adams, but he has gone to Montpellier for about £4m and already started scoring for fun over there.

Archer too but he's went to Sheffield utd.

Archer and Piroe were out main targets, if this forum is to be believed

You have to imagine we will look abroad at this point. The obvious domestic options have moved already.

I am curious about the sudden massive increase in us being linked to young players in South America, I wonder if there is anything in that… we can dream.

I think it’s important that whoever it is won’t be eligible for Afcon. Can’t afford to be left with only Vardy for more than a month.

...not sure if that was the case, Piroe we have had an extensive thread on, but Archer was mentioned now and again!!!

Oscar Bobb, Borgess, Archer and Rak-Sakyi would have been the ideal pick-ups for me. Casadei may be the creative player centrally who links the midfield with the forwards, but that would have been the ideal role for Bobb and you wonder if both could have occupied the central roles. Final balls to the wide players and playing runners into the box, do tend to be something we just do not get right, we desperately need the quality centrally.

A combined 25m-ish plus Castagne and Ndidi off the wage bill is massive for this last week.

If we pull both off in the next 48hrs I can see something like Chair & THB perms in with AFI on loan.

Think that then takes the pressure off needing to sell Daka and Soumaré and we can be satisfied just with loans.

Get this all done and I think we've had a good window - better than I expected. We'd also have absolutely no excuse to not get automatics.

Would leave us with around £47m in profit so far for the year if Chair and TBH take up the full £25m raised.

If Daka is to leave and we need another striker, I honestly think the idea of a Target man up top who’s good in the air and good in the link up play would be ideal.

One thing I’ve noticed is we put in a lot of aerial crosses but don’t really have many lads who can attack the ball in the air.

Anyone got any realistic options?

Leaburn from Charlton feels the obvious one. Even his middle name is Lester.

Leaburn would be great, absolute unit, handy with his feet and no slouch either.

surely its written in the stars then; Leaburn would be the obvious choice as a striker to bring in imo, young hungry alot of potential

Tommy Doyle

I was going to mention him, Heckingbottom wants him at Sheffield United but has said that he has other offers on the table.

Ah I saw Archer as a wide forward to be honest, but you're right, he plays up front too, doesn't he.

in an ideal world, given the window is coming to a close quickly, not counting the Issahaku deal

the last few signing i think would be good would be..... THB, Doyle and Leaburn

but think its more a pipe dream getting all 3 of them ive mentioned

Now I like the look of him… comes deep, can dribble, beat a man, pass. Main issue is he seems to have a lot of interested and linked with clubs at higher levels than us.

Our great start does help us attract players.

It sort of proves we want to get back out of this league at the first time of asking. 42 games to go.

If we pay the right money, they’ll still be earning more than they get for lower France, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal.

The Championship is the 5th most watched league in the world for a reason.
