Enzo Maresca New Leicester Manager

I’m cautiously optimistic about his appointment, I think how he wants to play will be successful and entertaining if he can pull it off but pretty much all of squad won’t be capable of being a part of it. So we are going to need a massive turnover of players.

It might be slow progress to start with and the board and supporters will need to stay patient and give him a chance.

It’s going to be intriguing to see who he brings in. Whether it’s young talent from Man City’s academy, taking advantage of the loan system, or whether he has some foreign gems lining up to come in.

Do we know if there are any cambiasso-type free agents lingering in serie A?

Mixed feelings

Yes he has got contacts, but I’m not sure Man City will let us have a discount you know because it’s Enzo.

1 year of learning under Pep has to be great experience.

Only managerial experience is winning just 4 of 13 games for a recently relegated club & that was with Buffon in goal! (Now he has Ward?!)

Glad we have someone in and actually happy that they have gone for someone based on an interview and their view of the club rather than just picking a name that’s done it before. hopefully now we will see the squad take shape.

Time to get excited and may as well be optimistic

The contrast in messaging is amazing.

Rodgers: “if we stay up with this group of players it will be my greatest achievement”

Enzo: “First of all, we as a club, we need to rebuild this confidence. Then, also the players that stay with us from last year, they need to change their mentality. The players that we brought in, they need to understand that Leicester is a demanding club. The most important part of this is they need to understand now that we are in the Championship – we need them even more than in the previous season.”

Love this!

Pleased with this appointment think he’s going to bring the good times back to the KP, what with his Man City connections can see us be infront to bring in such quality players such as Cole palmer on loan.

3 years seems about right, 1 or two years in the Championship and at least 1 season in the premiership. Anything in the top half next season providing the building blocks look like they are coming together.

What's the significance of the coffee?

Keep the poor **** awake, he’s spent two days with Rudders

Finally something to be happy about. Top and Rudders have shown abit of initiative hiring Enzo rather than the usual suspects. Let's hope it's a great partnership. 🤞

3rd July pre season, would of preferred a week earlier. He's got two weeks of training before the pre season tour, the tour then the season begins. Only thing I'd say is if there bodies can adjust to the heat of Bangkok and Singapore, it should be easier in the cooler UK weather.
