He is a shockingly bad defender.  We have conceded loads of goals from his side, and along with Bounatte was culpable for their first last night.  Positionally he is all over the place.  He needs dropping or replaced in January.

You can almost excuse Bounatte for trying to dribble out because of the type of player he is and inexperience.  Justin shouldn’t have any excuses as a senior pro, slicing the shot rather than just booting it cleanly should be his basics.

It doesn’t matter where you put him, his mistakes always cost us.

JJ’s defensive performance this season is

getting close to Ward/Amartey levels bad.

Needs to be taken out of the limelight for now and dropped to the bench.

Was going to make the same point about Amartey but fortunately Mads addresses the Ward factor ;)

We can all see the JJ problem but we've limited options as Victor prone to brain farts & Ricky was hardly on fire last night (ignoring first PL start this season)

I think after building up some game time, Ricky is still quality. They were the first minutes he has played all season against a top winger in Hudson Odoi with no cover provided in our system.

However, Justin has no excuses.

I'm not sure, I think age and injures are catching up with him.

As a fullback you need to be able to cope with 1 on 1 duels.

Actually one of the more likable players in the squad so hard to say, but Christ, he's so far below the standard we need in this league.

Was genuinely hard to watch him last night, although their winger must have loved it.

Easy to blame JJ but that 1st goal was all on Buonanotte as he was in ‘control of the ball’ JJ wasn’t but FB is the current FT darling so  immune to criticism 🤷‍♂️

& yes I know poster mention his name but it’s passed over and full blame laid at JJs feet/knee.

Utter b*lls this JJ stuff, why not pick on faes and okoli they were most at fault in the defence for two of forests goals.

Also JJ has contributed a fair amount going forward, unlike some.

Yes yesterday he was pretty dire but then who wasn't? And it was f**k ups prior to his clearance in the first goal that got us in trouble in the first place. So why pin everything on him?

Like asking for Ricardo or Enzo ball, dropping JJ will achieve nothing. At least he's contributed towards the forward play.

It wasn’t only the horrendous mistake for the goal….his passing was shocking and goodness knows how many times he got skinned on the outside last night
