Nah, we bought him from Leuven who will have only paid a very nominal fee to Sheff Wed to get him

Then our deal with Leuven was undisclosed

Probably a sell on fee for Leuven/ bonus for Rudders

Probably broke even on him in the end. £1.5m in the kitty and another £20k pw (he types, trying not to weep on his keyboard!) off the wage bill.

20 grand a week?!? Good grief

We all queried why on earth he signed a new deal last summer, but a year on we've got £1.5m for him and possibly a few more coming in add ons. One of the few decent bits of business we've secured recently.

That's a 1-0 win for them and Hirst scoring this season though.

Plus loan fees

Thank ****. There should be an inquisition into why we even had him on our books.

He was really highly rated when we poached him from Wednesday. I daresay he'd have never been a world beater but I don't think we ever sorted him out with a half decent loan until he'd been with us for two years, never felt at all well managed from us.

Is a George Hurst really that bad? He is going to a team in the same league as us, who have seen him play and seem pretty happy to have got him, just saying.

thats true, hes done well in his 2 loan spells at league 1 teams(pompey and ipswich) but the 2 loan spell he had in championship and didnt score at all

then again, sometimes players just click at certain clubs, so he could do well for them

Why we took a chance on a young player, it didn’t really work out for him here, but we’ve made a small profit on him - a profit that will continue to grow if he does well at Ipswich.
hopefully there is a sell on fee also included in the deal.

0 goals in 43 Championship appearances for Blackburn and Rotherham. He just isn't good at all for us, and never would be.

Let's see how he does at Ipswich in the Championship this year. He's one who has all the tools and can he put it together

Seems to be doing well in a team that is flying at the moment.

Only started three games lol and scored one goal.

We're hardly at a point in a season to judge.

I think a little more "FoxesTalk" is spitting your dummy out over one emoji.
