I bloody hope not. Pathetic fee if true.

Our hands are tied. Buyers know that we need not just players but specifically probably 2 goalkeepers off the books, additionally he has been frozen out so clearly is unwanted. Other teams don’t go and piss money up the wall like we did on Ward so £2.5mill seems generous in our favour to me. I was thinking £2mill tops is what we’d get.

We overpaid on Ward and if any potential buyers (they're all queing up) watched his performances last year then your likely to see next to nothing in a fee as assuming he's on a high wage. So we're likely to need to pay him off and cut losses, he's that useless to us as a player.

Iversen is the one I'm surprised we haven't had offers for or hasn't left already. He's actually a decent keeper and could play in the Premier league for a team that doesn't want to play out from the back. When he won POTS at Preston I remember their manager being asked about him staying and him basically saying he would love to sign him but he's 20m pounds in today's market. That was clearly getting carried away but he's definitely a 10m pound Keeper to someone who wants one maybe 15 for a Premier league club.

Ward. Our only hope would be if some team in the championship wanted a loan. He might be better in this league maybe. I've just never seen a GK make themselves so small. He was Wales number 1 so someone might take him on loan but its unlikely.

Much like all the players some are frothing at the mouth 'to get rid of'/'not gone yet?!', if we have players such as Iverson who might be wanted, teams are going to play the waiting game. If they leave it to the last minute, then they are more likely to get a favourable deal for them, as we need to clear out. We do not hold the cards in trying to offload people, and that's not taking any player wants into the equation.

Rudkin should be on the phone to Wrexham now

I get the feeling the club don't have their ear to the ground with these sorts of things. Whenever seem to be the vulture when other clubs are in the shit financially abroad.

If we give Kelechi enough starting minutes this season im sure he will be convinced to sign a new contract. From all accounts Piroe was the worst player on the pitch in the Swansea - Conventry game. I dont know why our fans are so obsessed with him.

Maybe that's because he wants a move

They'll probably enquire about Ward and be willing to cover half his wages for the remainder of his contract and we'll say no and offer them Stolarczyk on loan for the season instead.

For clarification, I was saying £2.5m for Iversen would be poor. 2 years left on his contract and a very good player, that's a giveaway imho. Ward, I'd be happy if we let him leave on a free, seriously. Just get his wages off the books.

I was referring to Iverson but can see it would have looked like I was talking about Ward having referred to his purchase.

I think £2.5mill for Iverson would be decent business if we can get it. He’s a good championship goalie but how many championship clubs are paying more than that for goalkeepers. As I say, the fact he’s quite clearly unwanted does not mean we can demand much if we want the sale.

We couldn't be this lucky could we? Forget 5000-1 "miracle" league titles,  if we can find someone willing to take Danny Ward I think my balls might explode!

Danny "Dead Wood" Ward to Wrexham

Poor Wrexham . . .

I mean, he's a Welsh International and has quite a bit of playing time in the Premier League. He's obviously surplus to requirements at Leicester. This would actually make a lot of sense for Wrexham to go out and get him.

Only issue is whether his ego would let him drop down. We have to remember they’re in LEAGUE TWO lol

I know many of us don’t even rate him at that level, he might back himself still though.

I'd be intrigued to see him at league two. I don't think he's good enough to be a professional keeper. I kinda hope for his sake I'm wrong and he is and finds a level he can do well at. I wouldn't bank on it tho.

I read stuff like this and I just have to permit myself another bout of anger that he played 26 or 27 PL games before being replaced.

It’s shocking and still fills me with rage. So many missed calls last season that could have at least protected our PL status
