Not sure he's been that bad, scored a own goal trying to last ditch a man that wasn't his. Couple of good bits of back post defending as well :dunno:

Got ran by Amad but didn't actually get beaten until Fatawu came and fouled him.

Him not dealing with the high clearance that he let bounce led to the throw which the first goal came from. Sunday league. Then it was his hit and hope no look clearance into the middle of the park that nearly led to Amad scoring just before half time. Own goal, he was unfortunate, but I’d like to see him get in front of Fernandes.

He's really limited. And just not good enough for this level week in week out

Told you he is positionally weak but more importantly is a walking car crash he is not calm, composed or even good on the ball - Thomas is a better prospect than him as he is at least decent on the ball - shambles and has been a liability all season !!

Looks more like a personal gripe, he's not been great but nor has anyone else! More concerned about Wout calamity Faes than VK.

He'd be better suited as a wing back because he likes getting forward but we haven't used that sort of formation in yonks. Him and Justin have been exposed all season. Desperately need at least one experienced full back in Jan.

Shows how misguided you are as both full backs are our weak spots - neither are anywhere good enough

Are you serious? For a moment I thought John Curtis was back.

Along with Justin you could argue he’s been consistently our worst player.

It's like they are having a secret competition between the two of them to see who can be worse and still get picked.

Yeah I’ve always defended him as we just hadn’t seen enough of him.

I have now though - Not even close to being good enough. Been one of our worst players so far, and the standard is extremely low.

If we’re sticking with Cooper (gulp), we desperately need a new left back in Jan.

Not sure what he has going for him, not particularly quick, poor in the air, very average on the ball, OK 1-1 defender.

Doesn't score or assist.

Nonsense, he scored today!

The irony, desperately needed to replace Thomas in 23, 2 years on and we desperately need to replace the replacement.

That Jan 23 transfer window was a complete and utter omnishambles.

He offers nothing in attack and his defence is average at best , why Justin is not playing on his side with Ricardo on the other , OH that’s right we got a coach who is useless

I get that i’m in the minority and logically so but… I still believe there is a player in there that we just haven’t untapped yet.

He still looks like a stranger on the pitch, i’m not sure what it is but the synergy just doesn’t seem to be there with him. When he makes the right runs the ball doesn’t get to him  and when he has the ball he also seems to not read what others will do and often just goes backwards.  I’d like to see him under a decent manager before we write him off completely.

This is a question rather than defending them both. Are they both terrible, or is the system causing them both issues?

I think the system is causing more issues for JJ than Kristiansen due to how high he has to play

But they are both also terrible, and because of the above it makes JJ really stand out as even more as an issue

There is one small problem with your plan. Ricardo is out for 4 months!

Almost every back four player has looked ropey this season. Whoever Cooper selects, they just never appear to play as a unit. You could drive a Chieftain Tank through some of the gaps between them at times. They get exposed down the sides and middle through lack of any solid defensive team shape. Think Coady has got the best seat in the house at the moment.

He was a key part of the Bologna team last year that had the 3rd best defence in all of Serie A.

No chance he does that being a terrible player, more like the system here is much much worse

ohh ffs he’s let it bounce.

Drives me mad how many goals are we going to concede this season because are useless defenders do not do the basics right.

It’s schoolboy stuff at times, both him and Faes have failed to deal with simple headers recently

I was rewatching the game for the post match analysis and he was truly awful against Man United.

Justin in some phases of the game does offer something, even in this awful system Cooper uses. VK in many games neither improves the defence nor aids the attack. The first goal comes because he makes an awful backpass after one of our corners.

I think more so with Justin, the system has a big part to play. Hes offered zero protection with the insistence of playing two left wingers and then being him asked to play right back and right wing. Kristiansen has just been poor. Offers very little going forward and constantly gets caught out and beaten by his opposing winger.
