Great news but we are negotiating a new 2 year contract for his dog after it impressed in training last year

Yes . Apparently curled one out on the penalty spot just as Ayew was preparing to take one

Not harsh enough. He was absolute rubbish, cost us loads of money, contributed nothing aside from three relegations. Never seen a defender so tall yet so weak and unable to win a header.

Still a better goalscorer than Winks, Skipp, Monga, Ricardo, both Thomases, Faes, Nelson, Okoli or Souttar last season– and on par with Mavididi. :D

All in all another absolutely appalling deal from LCFC.

But in typical Duffkin style we double down . Once we realised in about 3 appearances he was utter wank we should have cut our losses at the earliest opportunity but JR thinking is “ we can’t let him go for nothing sign him on a new deal and maybe he’ll start to look like he can play and someone will pay money for him”

I think in this case it was more down to Maresca insisting on us offering Vestergaard a new contract than Rudkin taking it upon himself to do it. As it happened, Enzo then buggered off to Chelsea a few weeks later and left us with the mess he'd created.

It was typical corner cutting from LCFC. We used to have one of the best and most innovative scouting teams in England and yet have somehow declined to a point where we think actually, rather than risk having to go out and get someone new on less money with potential sell on value, we'll just stick with somebody so blatantly ill fitted for the upcoming season and reward him with a repeat contract all over again, somebody who has been piss poor in the Premier League.

Maybe it's a shift due to McCarron's appointment. Maybe the players are forcing it more now that we're in League One.

Just remembered he used to post the polls every day when the Tories led, then disappeared after Labour won in 2024.

That was a weird time

We dont need a scouting team - just a guy at Southampton to pick up the slack........

Keep it going. Drain the swamp. :scarf:

I am danish and I absolutely love how we non-danish now. I still despise that Villareal c**t, that broke Fofana and made us panic buy this guy. The 3 year contract extension had me gobsmacked, despite his one decent season in our Enzo season.

At the end of the day the right decision we paid too much for him and overpaid hopefully now we cleared out lot of the dead wood we will learn from our mistakes from past and avoid making such bad buys in the future.

I am sure you would have took a £45000 a week drop. He was on 75k a week then and 2 clubs offered him 30k a week so what would you really do in that situ?

How could you possibly know that?

You can't put a price on self-respect.

..Oh hang on.  Yes, you can.

Isn’t it brilliant when we get in a sporting director who performs the role of a sporting director.

Cant knock him so far!

The first thing we did under his watch was appoint Russell Martin.
