Turkish clubs don't ever actually sign players from English Leagues because they just don't have the money or are bunch of tight c*nts so no, he won't be going. Turkish clubs are joke clubs.

I've swam against the tide with Wout Faes all summer. I think he's a superb player. Have done all the way through. 

 

Ok, standard so much lower than he's paid to play at, but he's looked imperious in the two games so far.

I’m not sure why he doesn’t seem to be rated on FT. I think he’s a decent player, if he can concentrate for a full 90 minutes he’ll be great

Makes to many mistakes to be a superb player.

 

Has lot of good attributes to be a good CB, but needs to be more focused with better discison making and positional sense.

 

Feel he could develop under Enzo.

He's been a move ahead in both games. If not two moves v Burton. He's already spotted the trouble before it happens. The guy is way too advanced for this level.

I would sell him TBH. At this level he will be good, but we know he's a liability in the top league, and he is on top league wages.

 

Of our centre backs, Callum Doyle has been the best one. That is off a small sample size, but I don't think it's egregious to say so.

 

I've got no problem with the player, if he is motivated and wants to stay, that's not a problem for me, but he is far from "don't sell." So far the only ones that are in that camp are Ricardo, KDH and Kelechi. The guy will fancy his chances of making the European Championships squad for Belgium, so probably won't want to be here, same with several of our players. So far the fresh faces seem better suited than the old ones, so not a problem for me.

Interesting mix of opinions!

 

I think he'll be outstanding at this level, so I'm very much in the 'keep' camp. Think he'll become a key player for Maresca as he can bring the ball out of defence pretty comfortably.

 

Also, if Souttar goes (as seems very likely), I'd be surprised to see another CB leave.

Faes is very good for the majority of the game but will have the occasional moment of madness that will cost you. He's not just a David Luiz lookalike but he really isn't dissimilar in how he plays.

He will do a job in the championship but need to upgrade if / when we get back in the premier league
