United’s defence is like knife through butter!

Surely not another managerial casualty looming up!?

They’ve gone from being a brilliantly run club to this since Fergie retired. Quite bizarre stuff

Ferguson was a great manager but, let's be honest, Man U in that era benefited massively from a huge financial advantage over other clubs that no longer exists. A bit like Bayern in the Bundesliga, back then they could cherry pick the best players from even their closest rivals. The league is way more competitive now.

Arsenal were hardly skint, nor were Liverpool, etc.

But no doubt it’s a more level playing field now (for the ‘big clubs’).
What Utd had then was one of the best ever football managers, a brilliant recruitment team and a great relationship between Fergie and the Chairman.

It’s just all vanished over the years. The Glaziers have spent billions but the infrastructure isn’t there anymore. Utd was always built on those solid foundations that just seem to have disintegrated. Some of the players they’ve signed over the years have been very very poor. Onana looks a joke tbh. Their recruitment team needs binning off and rebuilding.

They're getting no better under Ten Hag. They've been crap pretty much since the day of that 7-0 loss. 6 losses from their opening 10 games as well.

English sides having a bad year in Europe so far.

I know Maguire isnt a top defender but cant help but feel the unnecessary noise from Ten Hag in dropping him and Onana in shouting at him were done just to gain favour from the Man Utd fans and cover their own inadequacies.

Could understand if it was Fergie and Peter Schmeichel respectively as they would have earned that right but neither Ten Hag or Onana have shown that they have.

Onana is a car crash for Man Utd

He doesn't seem much of an upgrade on De Gea.

Obsession with goalkeepers using their feet. Give me a better shotstopper everytime, which is what De Gea was. He made mistakes, like most goalkeepers, but the amount of times he saved Man Utd over recent seasons was staggering.

I have to say, Onana is a fantastic addition to the English game. Kudos to Man Utd for signing him, the entertainment is quite literally non stop.
