In all seriousness, went to Sporting with loads of hype and potential but hasn't quite delivered but he's still only 19. He's fast (not actually Adama Traore fast) and big for his age, dribbles pretty well and has an absolute banger of a shot on him but his decision making is often just awful and he has a habit of going a bit Cengiz Under and just shooting from everywhere because it's his party trick. Makes for a good highlight reel but also makes him wasteful as all hell. You'd have to hope Maresca can coach that out of him.

 

We've almost certainly targeted him for his pace, power and ability to beat a man 1-v-1 which seems to be our main focus for wide players.

 

If Yunus Akgun is like our 2023 Knockaert then I guess the hope is that AFI is our 2023 Lloyd Dyer?

Same here, never seen him play and had never previously heard of him.

Not sure I can reliably remember his name or even pronounce it properly but it doesn't make it any the less exciting!

It's apparently a similar deal to Yunus Akgun. It becomes an obligation if he plays >N% of games if we go up.

I like how we are filling the forward line with players that ideally oppositions would like to double up on. This kid looks a handful, we already see people trying to double up on Nacho and Mavididi. Get them on the pitch at the same time and we are going to either be sucking players out of position and creating lots of space, or getting these players in 1 on 1 scenarios…

In the nicest terms I can muster up, he's got alot of potential but I don't think we'll be seeing even 10% of that this season at all
