Good move for everyone involved I think. If they get him back to his best they've got a great deal. If not, we've done really well here.

He'll be a decent piece of business for Fulham, I'm sure.

Cheers Timmy, best of luck.

Don't really have any feelings about this other than being glad that we've got some money and got 60k a week off the budget.

This is the first time I can remember the club taking a fairly sizable % loss on a player, as we signed him for 21.5M.

We need to do it more often though, if players don't work out, having them sit around achieves nothing.

Castagne was decent enough for us, but time to go and time for a fresh squad and ideas.

With amortisation it’s not a loss though.

Good bit of business on both sides. Frees up some cash for Enzo to further develop the team, cuts the wage bill significantly. Best of luck to Tim in his move.

Would you not count the likes of Soyunchu a loss though?

No % of profit sell on clause activated then

Ha I suppose so!

But my understanding is that we had bids for Tielemans, Soyuncu and Praet at various times, but didn't sell as they were under what we paid for those players. So 2 of those 3 ended up going for free instead, which is even worse. In the past the club has somehow ended up engineering good fees for players like Musa, etc. But why didn't we take money earlier for players like Soumare? He's just taking up wages and a squad place.
