It’s not like we’ve rested Winks or Hermansen. With Justin’s injury record it’d be foolish for him to start three games in a week. Casadei needs to get game time if he’s to have any impact at all and Mavididi is well due a rest, as is 36 year old Vardy. The only real surprise is Souttar but Enzo must be wary of their set pieces and crosses.

It’s a bloody great team with a strong bench. COYF

Interesting team, the changes look ok to me, unless we lose then I would say the changes are a mistake.

I like the rotation, keeps the players who have featured less hungry knowing they will get given chances, even those like Souttar apparently on the fringe.  And reduces injury risk as well with so many games in a short period.

Don’t rate Souttar at all, slow and cumbersome isn’t what you need next to Vestergaard. Then on the other side we’ve got Choudhury who just isn’t a left back.

that's a pretty immobile back line, but on the other hand should be pretty useful in the air.

Personally didn't feel the need for any rotation with most of the squad having 2 weeks of no competitive games after this. But in Enzo we trust.

Regarding Faes not starting.

 

Last I knew he was a part of the Belgian national team.  Possibly Enzo is giving him a rest today with the thought that Faes will log some significant playing time over the next two weeks.
