Are Leicester resorting to man City tactics in cynically fouling opponents to slow down play resulting and amassing in 25 yellows in 10 games played?

Anyone who plays this way on Football Manager knows it comes with a bad disciplinary record.

I'm all for us toughening up. Although we've had a few bookings for dissent which isn't great

How many times under Rodgers did our players not appeal injustices to us? It was too easy to get away with it with us, we'd oblige. Mirrored our manager too.

Good, if it means we keep winning. I’ll go follow spurs if l want back slapping moral high ground football and no trophies

...we were not a cynical team, we hated other teams doing it and rightfully so!!!

The refs need to clamp down on it, the big boys seemed prone to get away with it as they took turns to commit the foul and avoid the sending-off We did not harangue referees and played in the right spirit. Our mentality was weak regarding resilience and had nothing to do with the cynical dark arts.

I’m a complete hypocrite when it comes to this in so much as I have no problem with us doing it but hate it when I hear commentators call it a clever foul or pundits say that someone should have been brought down to stop a goal.

It's bloody brilliant although we haven't quite  perfected the dark arts as we are picking up cards. Huth was a master of the arts and getting away with it.  Been guilty of being too soft in the past.

Hate it in football in general but if its modern football then it only makes sense we try to benefit from it.

It needs binning from football though where tf would you even start?

Got to agree, I felt we were too weak and easy to play around last season. I’m all for the dark arts of used well and doesn’t result in unnecessary red cards

I don’t think it’s an aim to slowing down play, I think it’s trying to capitalise on mistakes. Most of our bookings have come from when we’ve been countered against after losing the ball.

Well that is exactly what we should be doing in my view… rather a cheap yellow than a goal against

I completely despised it. We were the biggest team of pussies I've ever seen. It was very tough to resonate with.

We are relatively mid table in the fair play table suggesting we aren’t any more different from anyone else

I suppose we have 70% of the ball so relatively it’s harder for us to make fouls

Introduce an Orange Card.

It counts as a yellow for purposes of 2nd yellow = red, but would come with additional punishment of 10min sin-bin and would specifically be given for more cynical things like:

  • Cynical foul to stop an attack
  • Shirt pulling
  • Simulation
  • Waving an imaginary card at the ref

Old Marcin used to sharpen his elbows with a chainsaw before a game too! 🤣

...that is not capitalising on mistakes, that is mitigating our mistakes, where a professional foul is what we use to stop a counter from our play breaking down!!!

We are in no way a dirty team, in the sense of being reckless and overly physical in challenges, but this amount of yellow cards isn't good.
