Brownhill, Kone and a young centre half in.

Coady, Soumare, Kristiansen out.

Keep hold of one of Hermansen or BEK.

I'd say that would be a positive window.

Really want West Ham to fail. And Everton.

Going to need 5 relegated next season please

If Everton get relegated, do you think we can get KDH back for less than we sold him for?

tbf if Brownhill wants 100k and has offers from Premier League clubs, that makes sense why Burnley aren't renewing the contract of their captain and top goal scorer.

More sense than "he's actually too crap for Leicester."

For the love of God just throw the budget at him, midfield is clearly where we need serious help.

Brownhill is demanding £100k a week wages......next

Will cover his s/o fee too

if he’s expecting 60k then the 40k balance covers £8m over four years.  That’s effectively his transfer fee

Judging based off tonight’s performance, we are crying out for a new CM.

surely he isn’t demanding £100k a week!? That’s crazy money.

No chance he gets that anywhere, he will be playing for Preston after 6 months as a free agent if his demands are that unrealistic. Doubt he was even on half that at Burnley.

He would fit it well with winks imo. I really hope we don’t lose winks, he didn’t look happy post match interview

Been sulking for months, drain the swamp

I personally believe that there is absolutely no chance he replicates his form last season considering he's not had a preseason, even Lionel Messi struggled at PSG when he didn't have a preseason. He'll be off the pace for a couple of months and fans will get on his back because of his stupid wage demands, he'll lose confidence and he'll be signing for an MLS club by next summer.

Let West Ham take him.

This is spot on. Great post.

Apart from Toronto who reportedly flew to the Uk to offer him a 20m package after losing two of their big earners

I’d really like us to go get this guy in now.

Surely we now have the funds to cover a sign-on and 3-4 year deal on 50K p/w?

We have next to no leaders left.

We should not be offering £50k a week to anyone.

If we werent in such a financial mess id disagree. A player that scored as many as him in a position we need filling signing on for say a million plus a 3 year contract at 50k a week would be great business. All in its a 8.5 million investment on a player that woulf usually be around the 15m mark and would likely be a sellable 10m asset next summer if we need to sell.

However, I agree, we need to keep players on lower wages and this year utilise the loan/loan with obligation market to break the cycle.

Regardless, he wants a lot more than 50k apparently. Plus like others have said, no pre season either so would take a while to be up and running

Offer the olde boy 75k a week no-one is matching that and its what we were paying that pillock Coady anyway.

An experineced CM with good G/A is exactly what we need

Because at this level it’s not sustainable.

The average wage in the Championship is about 20k and we have had years of financial mismanagement which has caused us to be in the position we are now.

We should be looking for young, hungry players who have the ability to make us money in a year or twos time and not players that are looking for a payday IMO.

50k p/w would be a lot less than Vesty, Winks, Ricardo, Soumare and Daka and about the same as Skipp and Hamza. Souttar isn’t far off.

We need a leader and he fits the bill.

Average wage in the championship doesn’t really mean a lot to us as we aren’t an average championship club anymore.

Sounds a little bit like when we were a top 8 Premier League club and budgeted accordingly while getting relegated.

And bringing someone in that earns a lot less than those isn’t how the club should be looking at that as that group of players will probably all be in the top 20 earners in this division for the season.

Without parachute payments, we will have a huge black hole in our finances which can no longer be plugged by our owners writing off the money so bringing someone in on that sort of money is highly unlikely in my opinion.

I agree with most of what you’re saying, we’re just getting desperate I mean the very fact that Justin, Hamza and Mavididi have had the armband this season says a lot.
