Daka

He's got progressively worse since he's been here. He's never had a good touch but atleast his finishing was ok, now even thats turned to sh1t. Nice guy but really needs to leave England and re build his confidence in a lesser league.

He's not got the profile for a big spending Saudi side though has he?

He's not made a name for himself.  Not a good one anyway.

Yes, they aren’t just after people like Ronaldo. There’s plenty of less high profile players who have European experience. Demarai Gray is a good example. Others like Lodi the left back who was briefly at Forest, Malcom and Milincovic-Savic others that come to mind.

With Daka having the Zambian following, you’d think he’d be a prime type of signing for them as they would draw in that market.

Honestly I feel bad for him, he seems like a really good person to have around, always smiling and attitude seems spot on. Unfortunately he's just got very good. I think he does some good things within the game (his pressing and runs etc) but as a striker you need to be able to finish, unfortunately that is clearly the weakest part of his game at the moment.

Unfortunately he is pretty much guaranteed to start in this team - club have invested an absolute fortune in him fee and wages wise and never started 5 games in a row - if the club are as stupid as we all know they will think he is a 20m striker still and will score goals at this level - we all however know he is absolutely useless and if he is our number 9 this year we are screwed

Awful yesterday was the perfect opportunity, new manager who wants to implement a high press playing against inferior opposition, this was a chance to lay down a marker and completely and utterly fluffed his lines again. I mean that shot in the 1st half pretty much summed up his career with us.

It's easy to say he has to go, but no one else wants him or is willing to pay him the wages that we are. Same goes for most of the other deadwood.

Problem for the new manager is a lot of this deadwood is now entering the final year of their contracts so why would they put any effort in

It’s fascinating how Patson came to the club with a reputation for fantastic first time finishes. He even showed it here at Moscow and even with goals at home to Chelsea etc.

The drop off over the last 3 seasons is remarkable, it has to be confidence based…you cannot have a strength turn to a weakness on technical regression alone.

That is exactly the reason they should be putting effort in - they will be looking to impress other clubs for their next move.

It's way too late for most of them, any club with a brain will realise how crap the likes of Daka, Soumare etc are even if they manage a half decent season in the second tier. Destined for the Süper Lig.

Like a lot on here say, he is very likeable as a person. He has been behind Vardy who was almost irreplaceable. He is now in a lower league and our no 1 striker. Let that sink in. The manager will try and do something with him and if everyone gets behind him who knows. Manager may just want rid but honestly I can't see who will pay for him and pay the wages we are.

The guy is now garbage.  I dont think he was overly great when we signed him..however Vardy is to Blame indirectly.

He only really played if vardy couldnt,  if he had a reasonable game, he knew he would be dropped next game if vardy was even 50% fit..  for strikers a run of games and trust is required...we have completly miss managed players and we progressively make them worse..the same was happening with cannon, his goals for minuites played was good, but he knew he was never gonna get a good run...

Dont even get me started on the likes of mav not getting games under RVN. Kills form and then it just snowballs

If they don't I suspect the manager will be quite happy to play the younger players.

He needs to go for his own good and career.  He, is woeful.  Never, have rated him, can't control a football, falls over, and is too lightweight gets outmuscled easily.

His confidence is completely shot.  If he is our striker this season we aren't scoring many goals.

If he can't build confidence in a pointless friendly then he's not going to in a lesser league.

That miss yesterday sums him up.

I've seen more athletic ability in 60 year old men at walking football.

And yet he was pretty good in RVN's first game with a great finish to his goal. Nothing since that though, which suggests his confidence is wafer thin. Needs to move for his own sanity.

I’d argue that he’s not putting the work in of a striker at this level currently.

He was very static and central during his 45 minutes - there was very little evidence of runs off the shoulder of his defenders in behind, or of showing deep into feet to either create space for himself or others.

I also felt his movement when we were in advanced crossing positions was lazy - mostly straight and in a line to the back post, putting the onus on the crosser to find him with a perfect ball.

His play (or lack of) is certainly something the coaching team will look to work on in the coming weeks - but it’s disappointing he’s not doing this sort of basic stuff off his own back considering for himself professionally, this is a big opportunity to position himself as our main striker.

Really ... so all of a sudden and after last season they are going to become amazing players .... says everything about them and their attitudes
