Good to hear him say Pep has same issue with their fans, and for him to acknowledge it’s not an issue unique to our fan base.

True, but then why did he have his little outburst a few weeks ago? I really like Enzo and what he's done to turn our club around but I did not like the way he threatened the fans that he'd walk out. I do still think though, that his outburst could have been aimed at the people above him rather than the fans, if he feels he's not going to be backed in the transfer market to make us successful long term.

I think the BSLB pod with Guillem Balague and this interview with Percy make it pretty clear it wasn't directed at the fans. Enzo seems primarily frustrated with our structure (or lack thereof) at the moment.

Love the bloke and think he's doing an underrated job. Long may it continue

He probably is on the whole - he's never going to get credit given who we are. The proof will really be there next season but he's created a winning machine here. He's outperformed the most comparable clubs to us.

Like you, me has fans and every other manager,

maybe even with forethought, like PEP., thought it’s time

for a rant, there are some negative rumblings after such a

start,I will direct it in their direction, the club has done nothing wrong

supported him though some fans didn’t catch on..

I am sure the outburst had a few other motives and again, whether you like it or not

or feel somewhat affronted..not Enzoball but Enzorant…worked and got people

thinking and looking from other perspectives…

Funny enough the quiet many started to rattle out and showed their support,

others wavering doubters, took on a positive reassessment, the really odd nego’s

and doom mongers either had no further hopefull ricochets,so went back deeper into their holes,or really started to have positive 2nd thoughts, that something special could,& just might be developing…

Enzo never lied or tried to hide anything from us told us consistently some of those bad days are part of the football story, and then there was no reason to provoke

the situation,so long has changes and positives tweaks and twist were working more than any fail. Also our backward passes suddenly created explosive

openings or creation of chances..

I forgot who it was,but one of our posters who could be cynically provocative ,admitted he was somewhat amiss & posted   “That Some stats shown that despite we seemed to be passing backwards and forwards we actually got off 19-20+ shots .

Enzo seems  after the rant is now beginning to softly win over those OTT moaners…Which also effects those pundits and media that lazily feed off forums..

Plus some of our small media fan base are more confident & have started to make more louder positive noises on our behalf.

Pep does this all the time.

Pep has this outburst all the time. My personal view is that both do it to instil a siege mentality, so finding something to be negative about as a means to motivate performances. Think about it, with human nature being what it is, it must be difficult to motivate people and avoid complacency when you rack up win after win.

The way he speaks is brilliant. I can't put my finger on exactly what it is but he seems to know just the right things to say.

The club have deservedly taken a pasting on here over the last couple of years, but one thing they do deserve credit for is appointing Enzo.

Surely can't have been anyone better for the job out there. Granted that might make the decision seem obvious, but it's always easy to say that with hindsight.

Ranieri was another good thing and Pearson, Rogers was initially brilliant too.....Personally feel pretty lucky as a Leicester fan.

We are going to be going into next season with a clear idea of how we are going and want to play as well. There will be some additions, of course but I feel this season is the groundwork being done for being able to sustain our position back in the premier league.

We are a more attractive proposition than most of the clubs outside the top 10, the whole place will have a really good feel good factor about it all too.

Great interview, hope he's hear for years and years

Most people will agree.

Sadly, his success is what’s gonna see him get poached by a bigger club.

I haven't felt this connected to a Leicester manager since our Nigel. That's not to knock Claudio, I felt connected to him too but I feel like Maresca really wants to improve every single aspect of the club just like Nige did, and that goes a very long way with me.

Agreed. The title winning season is just that one sporting miracle, a complete isolated incident where the stars aligned… that was a very different kind of love, a one hit wonder type of affair. With Enzo you can see him wanting to build something, it’s project he’s passionate about….

What we need to make sure though, is that everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet, he can’t be shackled, his visions need support otherwise it won’t work.

Maresca, like Pearson and to a lesser extent even Puel, seems to be dragging the club forward, whereas I always felt Ranieri and Rodgers were more steering us in a direction with wind in our sails.

He's an incredible coach, who is still learning his craft. The one advantage to keeping him long term is I feel he's purely motivated by philosophy and if we match his, he won't want to move unless he's guaranteed the same at a higher level.

I think that is a good way of putting it, but there also need to be checks and balances in place. Its fine for Enzo to be challenged and nobody in any walk of life should just get everything they want. A healthy 'everything on board' is what we need, but i don't want to end up with the position Brendan was able to get himself in.

Let's hope the club recognise this and can create the structure alluded to by Ballagué.

Despite their apparent failings the club has clearly got a lot of things right behind the scenes too.

I do wonder how much they will back any manager after getting their fingers burnt when they backed Rodgers to the hilt, eventually leading us to last season's relegation.

Please, please, please don't get sucked in by this shit. I'm begging you - and everyone else.

There is literally no drama at all about our style of play, Enzo, the fans, he's not going to leave, he didn't threaten to leave.

It's our absolutely terrible local press looking to stir up stupid drama and rubbish narratives to drive engagement and sensationalise shit. They are absolutely shameless.

99% of the fanbase are delighted with the turnaround this season and Maresca and he's a smart guy that's been in football a long time, he knows that. He just keeps getting asked stupid, stupid ****ing questions by absolutely rubbish journalists.

I swear he's had a question in basically every pre match press conference this year about whether or not "the fans" will have to be patient and what he thinks of "the fans" frustrations about slow football. Just complete shit.

It was really poor by Blackwell, he's lucky he didn't get the Pearson/Stringer treatment.

He's just ****ing terrible. I listen to it most weeks and the questions are like Enzo is being interviewed by a GCSE media studies student playing at football journo.
