I wouldn't get carried away just yet but it's good to see him contribute. Hate it when fans single out a player (even if it is deserved) and you have an horrible atmosphere when he comes on the pitch.

Certainly can rotate in the Ndidi role but with less heading ability lol

If he puts the performances in, does he get a move away?

if he does it's win win

yes and it could help with PSR. his book value is around 7m so anything above that is profit as far as PSR goes. if he puts in competent performances then 10-15m should be achievable.

not just the fee his wages off the books helps, probably means we can sign a better striker

I'm kinda ok with the lad. He seems dozy af but largely likeable.

But let's be calm. He switches off, is positionally useless and his tracking back is woeful. Starting him would be disastrous..

As a sub, perfectly happy when the game is in front of him and he can run powerfully from deep carrying the ball

Our fans are good at this. West Stand flask drinkers in particular mastered the art of only being vocal when the likes of Carl Court and Trevor Benjamin would enter proceedings.

He’s always been a number 8 and not a holding midfielder. He’s best when he’s allowed to roam. I don’t think KDH’s emergence helped him in the slightest as they have similar effects on a team in the middle third of the pitch but in different styles (very different in the final third, though).

Large, hanging around the middle, yet not wishing another dangerous flop.

I’ll admit I might be talking rubbish but he’s never been a defensive midfielder has he?

I think a lot of people have got in their heads that’s the sort of profile he is when he’s actually better suited further forward

Bouba, bouba, Boubakare Soumare

He used to be lazy, we thought he was shite

But he runs like Toure so now he's alright

Boubakare Soumare

He is a bulldozer.

He seems to be a confidence player. Unfortunately, as we all know, our fan base is very quick to criticise and boo our own players. That could not have been good for him.

He is definitely good enough to be a squad player, which means that he can come on as a sub. So many here were booing even with him

just coming on as a sub (not even as a starter). Give the guy confidence and some time.

Looks like he’s playing for the manager—something he has NEVER done for us before. It’s hard to get your hopes up with Soumare, but he was the best player against Utd and changed the game when he came on against Ipswich.

Give both Soumare and Cooper a chance.

For those who know from my posts, I am not easy to please. But I have seen enough for us to give them chance, at least until Jan (or more depending on how it goes).

This sums him up well.

I've never thought he was 'lazy' as he gets labeled on here a lot. I think it's a concentration issue - He's just never where you want him to be when we haven't got the ball, and the way he loses runners is infuriating.

It's annoying as he's good on the ball, strong and can progress it well. Has (almost) everything for the position he plays.

I don’t think general ability has ever been his issue. It’s his application.

When he came on against Forest, he coasted past two of their men and got brought down. He also meandered back whilst Forest hit us on the break.

**** it, start him against United again.

The worst performing of the 4 subs according to the stats @StriderHiryu uses!

Yep shows you how misleading they can be at times. I think it was only low because he had a chance to score and missed. Otherwise he had quite the cameo appearance.

For some reason on FotMob, WhoScored, SofaScore etc. that dribble from him in the lead up to the goal hasn’t been counted as successful either so he hasn’t been given any “points” for that
