This poll means nothing if the Premier League take a leaf out of EFL's book and extends our transfer embargo.

But say they don't, spend a little and pray. Worked around 10 years ago!

If we not under EPL embargo when transfer window opens, if the club has any sense they will do their business early.  But early is not in the club's DNA, probably be sitting waiting for last day of August to get that best deal then by then under embargo. :/

Unless you just throw money at it, which we can't, it's not easy to get deals done early for a club in our position. Any player that we want, we'll want because they look a certain standard, which means clubs that are currently further up the food chain might show an interest and so we become a fallback option. That's the nature of where we are. Sensi is a deal that can be done early as there's no club involved and we've done the groundwork already. Other than that though, the profile of players we'll want will likely be keeping their options open.

Maybe you haven't heard but there is a ban on recruitment. Not from the board but the football league. Unless this is ignored or removed then its sell sell sell.

This cant Stand the efl have made no charges against us.

For all those wanting to spend and effectively counteract the points deduction, you aren’t thinking about the fact that we have already breached for last season and, if we overspend this summer, we will breach again for this season and struggle not to breach again for the next couple of seasons.

At some point we have to get our house in order and now is that time.

Surely this is why its such a grey area.  We officially become a premier league club at the end of June at their AGM.  Efl have put us under a transfer embargo because they believe we will be in breach of PSR for 22/23, albeit our accounts do not have to be published until that day.  Day we are officially confirmed as a premier league club.  No longer being under the jurisdiction of the EFL.  EFL sanctions cannot apply to us on the 30th June.

Neither the Premier league when they made the rules, or the Efl factored in any club which would be relegated and promoted straight away the next season when they made their rules.  Hence why we have sued both becuase under whose juridiction can we be ruled by?

30th June will define what our accounts will look like by then we may have sold enough players for us to have complied?  Only time will tell on that.

Until then, it is all media speculation, all ifs, buts and maybes.

In truth, nobody knows a thing.

That would be illegal, As it would amount to collusion. You cannot conspire to put a any company out of business. Plus it's not in their rules currently.

Unless we sell we will break it. So it might be a fire sale before the end of June and then loads of signings after when the new PSR year kicks in… probably hoping to see us through to the new rules coming in.

We've already served the ultimate punishment for our PSR infringements by being relegated.

The whole of PSR is bollocks, there's no consistency, they make up the punishment as they go along.

How can the EPL even be allowed to still govern if they've waited until 2023 to charge Man City for potentially breaking their rules between 2009-2018.

If they come after us, we should legally challenge the EPL's compentcy and argue their not fit for purpose because the whole competition is skewed in favour of the big 6.

The strange thing is the Premiership have not placed any fine or embargo for last season because we were no longer a premiership club.

I guess they could in the coming weeks do so if they wish. But it would have to be separate to the Efl.

Legally it appears the Efl made 2 mistakes. One placing the embargo on last season's premiership spending and two jumping the gun on this season before the Accounts are published.

I wouldn't be surprised if we find a sponsor to put in a hefty investment along with player sales to make us more compliant be the Accounts close for inspection.

I think we'll try and move all high earner on where we can. Players with very little/no book value like Ricardo and Justin could be moved on for small fees just to get the wages off the books.

Spend especially if we get deducted points. It'll be worth taking the fine later on. Which is basically a green light to spend what you want anyway

We can’t spend within the current financial period due to the embargo, so any spending will have to be done in the 24/25 period, which will still be within the current PL PSR rules.

As we’ve got a Championship season in there, we can only lose £85M for the three year period (22/23, 23/24 and 24/25) so we have no choice but to keep next seasons spending to a minimum if we want to avoid another breach.

If you make no attempt to bring spending under control it counts against you and you’ll get a bigger points deduction next time.

Really don't see the point of that.

Even if you move 7m of the wages bill how much are their replacements going to cost in wages and fees?

Ending up with high amortisation is just as bad as wages, it about getting a balance.

Ricardo and Justin are virtually 0 against our amortisation total.

Are amortisation end up at 70m + just add 20m worth in each summer window.

I would love to see Braybrooke, Alves and others come through. They are part of the future.

My only concern is that Luke Thomas was showing similar potential but got absolutely destroyed week after week in a poor side last year, got loaned out by the club  and that appears to have ruined him.

We can’t just throw them in.

I know we won't, but I don't play fifa or football manager so I need the fix from somewhere

Sounds like we can either spend and get a points deduction or not spend and get a points deduction, so we may as well fly in the face of these ridiculous rules and just do what we want. Every team outside the top 6 will be getting a points deduction every season if this nonsense carries on.

If we spend we are likely to get three points deductions in ever increasing severity. We’ve already broken 22/23, have admitted we are likely to break 23/24, and overspending next season could mean a 24/25 breach also.

We are signed up to the fast track scheme now we are promoted. So we multiple punishments in one season.

Meaning likely relegation, a financial shit show again and trouble with the league again.

This is THE opportunity to get it all back under control.

I remember not long ago posting about the hypocrisy of our fans who knew we were overspending and said nothing. Now a huge number are actively saying do it again despite slating the club for financial mismanagement. It’s baffling.

I can't believe the results of this poll so far.

We came so close to seriously ****ing things up and potentially missing out on promotion just weeks ago, with allele of the consequences that have, and yet 40% of votes are in favour of spending willy nilly.

We cannot kick this can down the road and hope it'll be fine.

Honestly, I find the way the club have cocked things up and how they are subsequently behaving about it quite embarrassing. Yes, the leagues haven’t got a clue what they are doing and are just worried about a regulator etc but that and the club being clueless are not mutually exclusive.

I also get sick of the club being synonymous with ‘cheating’. Yes, it’s a minority or mainly Forest and Cov fans that go on about administration but we flew close to the wind 10 years ago and now this. I would rather we get our house in order and go back to trying to operate sustainably.

If this means we get relegated next season so be. We should still be in a better position to bounce back again rather than be in a constant cycle of points deductions, embargo’s and legal battles.

Gotta get out house in order, keep trying to shift the deadwood, reduced wages offered to those out of contract whom we would like to keep. Signings to a minimum and back to our old model of young exciting players we can try and sell on down the line.

What does that look like to me? Vardy, vestergard and ndidi offered reduced terms. Not interested? Bye bye then.

Iheaneacho, praet and Albrighton let go.

Sign fatawu, a new lb, a cm and a striker.

After that we bring through the youth.

Hopefully we will manage to shift some of the players out on loan at the mo as well for some coinage and anyone else who may not really be in enzos plans.

I'd bin of Younis as well if we can, I like him, but not enough to spend any money on him.
