“Thanks for making our dreams come true”

Losing at Wembley twice?

They're just so small-time, aren't they? I've seen some of their fans say that they'd have stuck with him even if it resulted in relegation. They have a squad that should be challenging for the play-offs!

**** Cov obviously but the job Robins did is one of the most impressive I've seen in my lifetime and arguably a bigger achievement for them than winning the FA Cup. From the fourth tier almost to the PL while not even playing at their own ground for 2 seasons, and then a crap VAR decision away from perhaps the greatest semi final win in FA Cup history. In football teams it absolutely does deserve to be called a dream come true.

Quite right. I can't think of a better job in the top 4 divisons during that same period.

Can't say I'm surprised about Robins, the club moving towards this new age head coach model and away from the traditional manager approach was never going to be a happy ending. Some of their leadership team staffing recruitments have been from those who have a traditional organisational background rather than coming through at a club. I imagine the writing has been on the wall for him and those in charge were looking for the first excuse to get him out the door.

He is a legend there but probably won't be surprised himself that the sack has come as Robins will know what its like particularly if there had been changes to his back room staff.

If anything expectations would have been greater now than ever before.

Although tbf Coventry had won 2 of their last 3 games.

Mind you who I am I to talk!

Cov apprently are considering going for Damien Duff so I heard following his successful achievement of guiding Shelbourne to their first Irish League title in 17 years. Is the Irish league actually any good?

Not sure of the standard but a first league title in 17 years is an achievement, obviously their previous managers were unable to do it.

I did see Mourinho was in contact with Duff/Shelbourne. One of his former players of course.

Think Duff has been well respected for a few years now in various coaching roles. Wouldn't be surprised to see him doing well in the Championship.

He went on a rant about English clubs underestimating the quality in Ireland, by that note I'd expect him to bring a few players over!

Oh... and he's aged like Milk...

Great job Robins did, but I reckon he'd taken them as far as he could and a fresh approach was needed.

Shamrock Rovers are unbeaten so far in the conference league although the opposition has hardly been stellar.

That Georgian bloke looked a decent player tonight @Super_horns, not really seen much of him before but looked good tonight.

Is technically excellent and definitely is a very direct forward thinking player .

Doesn’t seem to have the end product but that might be down to bad luck or us not being very good up front at times .

Luton manager probably gonna be sacked this evening.

Am a bit surprised of how they've fallen, to be honest.

They're going the same way as Huddersfield; getting unexpected PL promotion and when they get relegated, they plummet a bit.

Coventry's league form has been poor for months. The cup games masked it and Man United should never have allowed it to become close.

Robins did a great job but they should be doing better right now.
