I have to wonder whether they are hyping this move to build the feeling that we are busy and ambitious in the transfer market.

 

If we are able to give of the impression we are going all out to stay up, it might just convince one or two other players to come to us over other clubs. Nobody wants to sign for a club that is less likely to stay up. A club constantly in the news for signing new players looks more attractive than one that can't/wont sign anybody.

 

Got to remember, the players and their advisors don't know any better than we do which club is the best bet this year.

 

Hopefully though, he shows some real talent. I'd like to see this guy coming off the bench alongside Alves this season.

For us to have a chance to stay up I feel like we’ve  got to strike gold again in the transfer market. Adam Wharton went in just 6 months from Blackburn to Palace to England team so it can be done but obviously leaves a lot to luck. 
 

Glover did great with Hermansen and Fatawu so here’s hoping he’s found another one.

Pretty much every deal is undisclosed by clubs these days

 

Reporters have it as somewhere in the range of £3m - £5m

I doubt it's anything like that, more likely we've been offered him as a PSR way to help Chelsea shift an academy player for an inflated fee and reduce the fee they paid for KDH. Similar happened last year albeit on a higher scale with Maddison and Winks, and has been happening with a few other clubs the last few weeks involving Villa/Chelsea/Everton

Ive never heard of the lad at all but the reason I’m actually happy at this is that on the in-laws side, there is unfortunately a couple of Chelsea who tbf can’t believe he’s gone for that small amount.

 

They were convinced once he’d filled out he was destined for a fast track to the first team.

 

Again I’d like to say they were saying this during the England game last night and had consumed many many drinks, but they do follow Chelsea and the England youth set up so I’m clinging to that 😂😂

We always seem to get decent adidas training/casual clobber. I quite like the shirt he's wearing in these videos. I also wouldn't mind seeing just the fox's head on the away/third shirt for something different.

 

I've no idea why the club bother with the in-house monstrosities they keep churning out.
