It must be a cultural issue; as am sure that the recent perpetrators of racial abuse in the game (in the top-flight anyway) have been of Argentine and Uruguay descent (?).

Yeh lots of Nazis went to Argentina after the war

Wonder if there are any other refs with videos somewhere in the abyss of similar behaviour...

Certainly wouldn’t be surprised.

I’ve just read the article from the sun because I was curious. Just goes to show how arrogant they are in their profession. Think they’re above anything.

Although saying that, if Coote does have some sort of underlying problem I hope he can get that sorted.

He'll give anything a go.

New video leaked of Coote snorting a line of coke in a UEFA paid for hotel a day after a game at the Euros apparently!

This probably is the end of him .

Sorry but this is utter rubbish. They’re constantly under scrutiny in the public eye, get dogs abuse week after week, get called arrogant by people that don’t know them personally. It’s a wonder they’re not all drug addicts having to cope with such stuff in this age.

It’s not at all.

Who on earth, knowing they’re in the limelight in one of the most scrutinised jobs would think it’s ok to send something like this? It absolutely reeks of arrogance as well. They are trained to be able to cope with what gets thrown at them so that’s nonsense as well. Then just read the comments he’s made “I’m too big for this”. Not arrogant at all that.

Can we get him in as a refs advisor?

It’s all just wall to wall ***** isn’t it.

Coote is a **** with **** ‘friends’ but of course you’re going to think someone’s a **** who treats you like a ****. I know Andy Robertson’s a **** from his cuntish behaviour and I’ve never been shouted at by the ****. The worst thing is it empower the biggest ***** in the fanbase with their cuntish conspiracy theories despite us non ‘big six *****’ knowing those ***** more often than not get the decisions anyway. Us ***** can see the top club ***** can act like ***** and can’t get away with it partly as their online ***** will wade in on their behalf, no matter the cuntish behaviour and put pressure on which will be picked up by the media *****.

Us ***** will always think refs are ***** anyway because we’re biased ***** and it erodes the trust in all the other **** refs.

Sorry for swearing.

Yeah it's no surprise whatsoever that very few people want to be refs and the ones who stick with it long enough to make it to the top often turn out to be complete weirdos. You're expected to be both an impartial arbitrator with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the laws but also an elite athlete quick and fit enough to keep up with Premier League footballers for 90+ minutes. On the day you actually do your job you spend the game being berated and lied to by every player on the pitch, and afterwards you get publicly called out and blamed for the result by whichever manager you're perceived to have shafted. Then between games your every decision gets put under the microscope on TV/podcasts/newspapers etc. while millions of fans around the world say you're corrupt, useless or both while being mystified why the standards aren't improving and ex-pros would rather go into punditry.

Then berated in the VAR booth for making a subjective decision by people who obviously expected refs to be robots and have the same ideas on all decisions each game every week.

BTW Was Keith Hackett a good ref?

One of the few ex ones who really seems to  really lay into the current mob and PGMOL.

I don't know if he has a just cause or also has some bitterness about them?

Apart from Dipper fans I think everyone agrees with what Coote said!!!
Klopp is a c**t and so are the fans!!

Well, yes. Although isn't part of the charge because he called him a 'German c@@t'? If he'd just called him a standard general c@@t, it would've been fine

Just because they’re trained to deal with scrutiny, doesn’t mean that they’re actually coping.

Absolutely, I agree. You’d have to be pretty naive to think that you’re not gonna get any abuse refereeing in the most watched league in the world though, and If that’s something you couldn’t cope with, why would you put yourself in that position?

I certainly wouldn’t if that was the case.

Drugs are a societal issue, and referees are part of society believe it or not lol

Just as likely to develop a habit as the hundreds who do this shit every away game.

Yes you'd like to think being in his profession brings some professionalism but not always as simple as that.

Interesting to know whether he's always had these issues, or they've developed whilst he's been under the scrutiny of football.

Fulham have released their ticket prices for Arsenal at home! 😳 Adult tickets in the main stand are £150! With Juniors at £70.

The cheaper tickets in the Johnny Haynes stand are the far end blocks with poor views yet still asking £35 for an adult.

Fulham like to portray themselves as a family club, i guess that only applies if they are a rich family!

It's ok though because fans will save £2 for a restricted view seat.

Another football club completely out of touch.
