Villa need to be careful because I can’t see how they can sustain their current squad outgoings if they don’t have income from European football. They’re currently 10th.

An all to well familiar gamble of a mid table side. They’re on a slippery slope - and we know how hard it is to sustain. You cannot afford for recruitment to not pay dividends on the pitch.

We ain't staying up mate....it's over

Maybe not, but doesn’t mean I’m going to stop wanting results to go in our favour and keep the hope alive as long as possible.

For me, 32/33 points is still a possibility this season, so when Wolves play I want them to lose until we are mathematically down.

Not a surprise to see that VAR and offside can’t work at Selhurst Park. The technology isn’t good enough at that ground

All the money in the game and they can't get provisions in to make it work there.

They've just sold Dhuran for big money, still have Watkins and a lot of saleable assets. And Emery still in charge

Not a lot of noise coming out Southampton when you consider how shit they've been. No real outrage from supporters, I guess when you're that shit it's just acceptance.

So much space in Southampton's midfield and defence.

Chelsea could easily have 5 or 6.

Like Brentford on Friday they seem to have just stopped trying.

Cooper likely would have got us to 32/33 points based on the first third of the season and the fact that we scored in every single home game he managed, but even then that total would be unlikely to keep us up.

There is zero chance Ruud will get us to that sort of total. We could possibly average half a point a game from now on in if we manage to score on rare occasions. That would give us another six points which would see us finish on 23.

Considering Enzo is currently the devil incarnate according to a lot of Chelsea fans, he's got them back into the UCL spaces.

And happy to pay silly wages, including Rashford on loan. They are in trouble.

I think we were getting progressively worse under cooper. We started off alright but that absolute surrender against Forest was the end of him. I think when you can’t see any glimour of improvement that’s the end of it, the games we won we didn’t deserve to win. The only thing cooper could do was pull a few draws. I think all it it would have made much difference as we wouldn’t have been West Ham with him in charge.

I agree, Brentford did stop trying. But they were cruising after 15 minutes so can’t really blame them.
