I just cannot fathom how little he stands out even at that level. What league does Skipp have to drop to to look like a blatantly better player than his opposition?

This injury he had at Tottenham has completely killed him as a player. He could easily go the way of a Dele Alli.

Type of player you see retiring from football at age 28, after dropping down the leagues and struggling to find any club that will take him. He isn't even that terrible, he just doesn't offer anything of significance.

20m.

13m on Okoli.

Ayew 5m.

3yr deal for BDCR. (6m+ with wages and signing on fee)

Odsonne Edouard loan cost the club almost 5m.

Cheers Steve Cooper.

Recruitment/transfer strategy started being crap long before him and has been since. Even if he was desperate for these guys, the most incompetent of directors would have told him no. The blame lies nowhere else

To be fair Fatawu, mavididi, hermanson, doyle were decent additions and showed signs of reversing that trend. Only Cesare was a bit of a bust iirc. Last few seasons we have been weirdly obsessed with adding experience even though the model that works is clearly obvious.

If it wasn’t for the over crowding in English prisons, I’m sure Cooper would be imprisoned for that transfer window. He should do some serious bird for what is an absolutely brutal crime.

Very true .... buying dross ..  letting players with value contracts run out .... I was always of the understanding that the manager identified players and people within the club with the financial know how did the deal or not which was best for the club .... someone's not read the script and decided to throw the money around like confetti... I suspect we could still be making payments to Spurs for Skipp

If Russ is so intent on Thomas coming inside to receive the ball 2ft from Souttar, can we put Skipp  at LB instead

Don't worry. Only 3 years left on his contract.

We'd have genuinely been better off signing Matty James back up when he was at Seagrave doing fitness work and training with the u23's before signing for Wrexham.

If one player/transfer sums up everything wrong with this football club, he is it.

Unimaginative

Overinflated finances

Half arsed

And he's got shit hair.

Good news: Skipp now misses games and hopefully loses his place 🤞

Bad news: Hamza will probably replace him 😔

I'd rather have Hamza tbf. At least he is committed the club. Not his fault the club are run by morons and overpaid him for years.

Ever since his agent played a blinder with the alleged Barca interest, they knew he would be comfortably looked after by us for the rest of his career.

Shouldn't be playing for us anymore. Two relegations in two seasons, not what we need.
