Depends what you mean by overreaction. This is just the latest of the now weekly abject displays we're served by Cooper. Nobody wants his head literally, just figuratively

There are lots of reasons to question Steve Cooper but this team selection isn't one of them in imo.  Its a nothing game, no pressure, just a fixture we need to fulfil so lets rest the first team.  I'm sure he would have been battered if he went full strength tonight.

We have around 50 mils worth of new signings running on that pitch and they're shipping 4 goals in one half against the worst performing Man Utd team in 35+ years.

 

Why even bother playing the game then if you're just going to roll over? Who benefits from this?

 

At least you'd expect a committed performance with a certain degree of ability. We're Championship champions with a 'PL setup', so why should we accept performance levels that wouldn't be fit for League One?
