I've had enough

First time I've felt disinterested watching the game yesterday, before I would watch the games and the family would know that I don't want any distractions. 

Yesterday I was watching the match while I was doing other things, just looking up on the screen now and again. I'm finding us boring and I'm not excited as I used to be.

Does anybody else feel the same? 

Don't get me wrong I still watch all the games but I don't feel the same as I used to. 

Plus as anyone noticed that less people are posting here than they used to, is there a coincidence.

You're not the only one, and there's plenty more of these kinds of posts occurring quite often. 

 

Sad state of the game that goes beyond a Leicester problem. But it probably resonates more because of what the mismanagement of our club has led us towards.

I'm the same. Will have the game on in the background but don't pay the same attention I used to and don't really care when we lose all that much. 

 

Same as on here, agonising and discussing our club for hours seems absolutely pointless when no one t the club seems to be doing the same.

I put a similar post on here in the summer when KDH left. 

 

I feel so dis associated with Leicester to the point where I was just going to go England home and away and maybe do the odd non league game here and there. 

 

So angry with the way that the club's been ran in recent years. We were arguably the best ran club in the country at one point now we are a right mess. 

 

I don't know how many of you listen to the high performance podcast but give Paul Barber(Brighton CEO) one a listen - makes you even more angry comparing it to our clubs failings.

 

Heads need to wobble at our club, even if we go back to black and start again.

Unfortunate  enough to go OT yesterday but any other away game I'm not at I wont even listen now just have score updates.

I'd like to say I dont care but the amount of annoyance  I had during yesterdays game obviously  shows I still do.

You’re clearly not alone and I think football’s bubble could be bursting a little.

 

I can see a growing feeling across fans that there’s;

 

• Too much football

• The competition is to imbalanced, especially towards the top end

• It’s too expensive 

• It’s too time demanding

• The regurgitated drama season after season - is exhausting; especially if your club does nothing every season (👋 Hi Stoke fans!)

 

Whether it will burst enough to bring the game back to the common fan - I doubt it - but you know, there’s always non-league.

Yeah I try to kid myself that I don't care anymore but I do. I don't care about us winning all of the time or anything but we just seem to be a complete shambles on and off the field. We have clowns running the club, a cowardly manager and headless chickens for players. There's seems to be no short or long term plan or ambition

 

Would love to see us sack Cooper and employ a think outside the box manager.

I chose to carry on with the decorating yesterday rather than watch it . It was pretty obvious from the team sheet what was going to happen. I m now thinking of selling my tickets for Chelsea - without Buonanotte whats the point

I felt similar although i did somewhat get my mojo back when Maresca walked through the door and seemed to take the club by the scruff of the neck, however I soon felt it all ebb away when we appointed Cooper and it felt like we had not learnt one single lesson from the previous 2/3 seasons.

Was totally against Cooper being appointed in the first place, not the red scum link, although that doesn't help but just the mere fact his teams previously have been dour and uninspiring and I thought he was lucky beyond all reasonable belief at red scum 
 

The only thing I thought Cooper might do is galvanise the club but he hasn't he has been awful and looks uninterested on the touch line no passion no direction

 

just an insipid awful choice as manager and needs to go desperately quickly in my opinion

 

we certainly can't afford the 18 months to 2 years too long we gave Bodgers the fraud

 

im bored at present and we desperately need an inspiring manager who WILL galvanise us and make us hard to beat again

Last three seasons have been very hard. Last year Enzo gave hope - he wasn’t faultless but he had ambition, this year, we’ve got no one. The man child owner and the useless DOF. Cooper just tops it. We need new owners, new DOf. Start from scratch.

I found I had a fine afternoon yesterday. Watched the Sheffield Derby whilst my 2 year old had a nap then my wife and I took her swimming at about 2.30 when she woke up. Had a great time and just checked the score later on. Definitely the way forward 👍

I bet watching the paint dry was far more exciting than watching the shite served up by Cooper.

King power have done a lot of good for the club and Leicester but they seen to have lost interest and are letting the club be mismanaged. A massive clear out is needed of the people at the top

This is exactly how I feel, SC is not the answer, cant even be arsed to take the banter at work either.

The whole concept of football is, like an oil tanker, slowly turning away from the course most of us fell in love with. 

 

It's no longer enough for the infrastructure of the Premier League to have generations of supporters who attend every game - in fact our own club have referred to that sector as 'legacy fans'.

 

They don't want people who love going down with their family weekly to watch the football. They want an international package of fans who attend sporadically and spend when they're there. There is an intentional move away from community that's currently underway. 

 

This is set against a context where financial rules are slowly being changed to ensure a fixed pyramid. I've been very vocal about the Americanization of the English Football League and make no mistake that is what is happening. The FA and majority American owners desperately want a fixed model with no jeopardy. They can't change the league structure so they're doing it in financial terms. 

 

Look at the Champions League and all the publicity about how this new league format is just brilliant. No. It's the super league you wanted in it's infancy. Next up - fix the coefficients properly.

 

Part of what people love/LOVED about football is the romance. The underdog winning. That cannot happen under this model and we're seeing that occur in real time. Even the tactics are being moulded to support this. 

 

What you're feeling is the steady realization that what you loved about the game is being changed in subtle and constant ways. It's the knowledge that the genie can never be put back into the bottle. 

 

Every time I see a ****ing t-shirt cannon or new innovative way of packaging up some kind of commercial venture into my 'match day experience' I love it a little bit less and, as a legacy fan, that's exactly what I'm supposed to be feeling.

 

But feel some consolation - when this goes to shit because it's unsustainable they'll be happily giving you football back in tatters.

I watch the games that are on Sky, but it doesn't even enter my head to look for streams these days.  I look on here every day, but really I have very little interest, and I certainly don't attach any importance to it.  I've reached the point where it seems daft to attach importance to something I have absolutely no influence over.

I feel your pain

 

We kind of did go back and start again when dropping to the championship and the swathe of player changes and financial reconstruction that followed last year.
 

The one area left relatively untouched was those at the top. We haven’t seen enough to suggest that they have learnt from earlier mistakes and if anything we see signs of repetition. We were handed a lifeline last year in the championship with the success on the field. The operating environment is much more difficult now under PSR but poor decisions or lack of decisions may undo last seasons rebound  

 

As fans we had become accustomed to a level of performance and achievement that I thought I’d never see here as a lifelong fan. I admit to having a sense of entitlement to see the club continue to perform and try to get back to that sort of level. The same ambitions that the chairman publicly stated and drove us to whilst he was with us. . If the club don’t share, or feel unable to deliver, the same ambition that the fans have become accustomed to then it is natural that there will be disengagement. I fear it will take a long time before we are aligned again.
