I think he's better than the likes of Thomas Frank and Nuno etc. But that's my personal opinion, he's comfortably better than the bottom 6 incumbent managers, the likes of Garry O'Neil, Kieran McKenna etc.

I’d disagree. Out of the bottom six I think he’s only better than Mr ego at Southampton. Imo Potter is overrated.

Just spoken to someone who works very closely with the board. (FYI - I am not ITK and never claimed to be - person works on the corporate side with the ownership, not the club and just passing on what they’ve heard).

1. it was all Top’s decision. Chelsea was not a make or break game  - however, Top did attend the game (and arrived earlier due to conversations with a certain player he respects).

2. Top will head up recruitment - he never bought into Cooper and was quite disappointed with the appointment from day 1. This does not sound positive for Rudkin.

3. Club has a budget for January - for the first time in years, a representative from the ownership attended a recruitment meeting for the January window - the representative was not impressed with the target list (who presented that list was not clear).

4. Top wants a style and felt the club departed from that. He is also trying to be pragmatic. Top also speaks regularly (post relegation) to a certain ex manager who was very truthful post relegation. That ex manager has fed back his thoughts.

5. There is a candidate they want. Not a done deal yet.

Edit: wrote club when I meant board

Going off the comments Maresca made pre match I assume it's him that's face Top some home truths

Moyes has pulled out in front on the betting odds. Would not surprise me if this isn’t confirmed soon

Ah, we’re back to doing this analysing betting odds thing again then…

Fair play to Lee Congerton for managing to look like both Ant AND Dec

Take this however you want but that might be the most weirdly accurate thing you've ever written.

Someone put a £50 bet on.

Do you seriously believe the bookies know anything?

Oh pls not moyes. I watched many west ham games managed by him and it was dreadful. Very negative football, CBs playing hoofball, doesn't like flair wingers (he would rather play players like fornales or bowen), he would take ages to make a change and if he has his favourites in the starting 11, he will not change them for a long time. In conclusion,  his stint here imo would be reminiscent of the first half of the 2016/2017 season.

Lower midtable under him imo (which many would take tbf)

I hope he spoke to him post relegation, he was our manager... so you would assume it's another manager previous to Maresca.

Just out of curiosity but is anyone sat in Morrisons Cafe to see if they can spot who is about?

I’m on a flight from Manchester to East Midlands right now and I think Pep is having a nap on the seat in front of me

I know its a long time ago but I'm sure they still talk to Paulo Sousa for advice, or at least they did.

Yeah **** that we don’t want players like Bowen with 16 goals and 6 assists, and 12 goals and 10 assists

Is Coberan doing that much of a good job? 2 points in front of Neil Harris Millwall sacked from League 2 Gillingham 12 months ago

I think he's done a good job over 2 years there, particularly having had next to no money to spend. He also did a very good job at Huddersfield. I was impressed with the way West Brom set up against us last year and thought they should have beaten us at least once. I'd certainly take him over RvN who has no experience at a club like Leicester and not much managerial experience at all

It won’t be potter, it will be Moyes

Moyes has drifted out to 4/1 on betfair so you can fill your boots if you're confident about this. Potter still clear favourite, though only at 2/1 - ie, nobody really knows anything...

There are so many good foreign managers out there who are out of work and not one of them have been linked 😂 we should be all over Schmidt!
