Don't tarnish his legacy. He has been loyal, hardworking and a great servant. He will probably be gone at the end of the season. Hopefully he can take RVN and JR with him, who are not fit to lace his boots!

I think at this point, you have to ask if it's the managers at all when the only manager to get a tune out of this squad was in the division below, and even then they still took a couple of months just dossing around. We've got the most unprofessional squad going, who just down tools every time a manager tries to actually manage them, and go crying to Aiyawatt about how they're expected to work for their pay cheque.

RvN is clearly not good enough as a tactician but at this point, you might as well keep him and clear the decks fully in the summer, strip the squad to it's bare bones and fully reset the attitude in the club.

How? All the dross are on big wages, with time left on their contracts, how you going to move them on?

you kind of have to accept the PSR breach and just sell for a pittance regardless of book value, and rather than nickel and diming over pure profit, as we've done with Iversen and McAteer in recent years

The only issue is we have shown time and again we won't do that, it would have to be some 180 in the way we operate. Which would be welcome but I just don't believe this lot have it in them, I think they will say the team is a play off team, just add a couple and we will come back.

I always suspected Vardy has a big/undue influence, especially on the amount of game time he gets personally. This clearly isn't a healthy situation if RvN is feeling undermined but if it helps to finally remove Rudkin from his role (one way or another) then let's get building that statue!

The manager doesn't have to play him. If Vardy kicks up a fuss and the owner sides with him, van Nistelrooy can do little about it.

If he is selected because he'll complain if he isn't then the manager cannot stay.

But you can't force someone on 50 k a week to go to another club who will pay them 20k a week, they're contracted so you can't just get rid, we would all like too but we can't and it would be eye watering money to pay them off, which is why we will see the likes of Vesty here for another 2 years adding Zero value to the team same as Daka, Ward et al

I could be wrong but I think Vardy is being selected being he has bought into Ruud’s system and is leading the press on the pitch. Look at his body language, when we don’t have the ball, head down, eyes on the opposition, back bent ready to pounce, an arm or two out stretched by his side giving a signal  as to whether to press or not. Does Ruud get that from Daka? I don’t know.

Personally I think Vardy could be having a greater influence on the teams system this season than before, when he would be more  working himself into position.

Tbf he has tried something different, he’s stopped us scoring and increased the number of goals we concede. Time will tell if it’s a long term sustainable strategy.

Cooper seems to have left management temporarily or even perhaps permanently after us.

It will be interesting to see where the careers of the two managers selected to keep us up end up.

Started working as an UEFA Technical Observer - a very common interim job for out of work managers

He's been out of work for 9 out of the last 14 months. I think clubs might look at him falling for the lazy line of "Leicester were out of the relegation zone when they sacked him", and then they'll delve a bit deeper and see we were bottom on basically every measurable metric during his time here and not take things further.

From what I can see, Cov, Cardiff, Oxford, Millwall, Stoke, Plymouth, Luton, West Brom, Derby and Blackburn have all appointed managers since he's been available.
