Have any post-match quotes from RVN surfaced yet? I’m genuinely fascinated to know what on earth was in his head with that selection…

Thought we played ok other than the mistakes … didn’t like the booing of ward.

I thought after West Ham, he might have sussed out that the key to us was utilising the front three of Bilal, Vardy and Buonanotte. Harness the ability of those front three and then you start to keep the ball better.

We’ve gone back to Ayew starting, Buonanotte sidelined and a team short of dynamism going forward. You could argue today all three goals stem from the piss poor press on long balls

He was asked about not using Buonanotte until 84th minute and his reason was laughable, didn’t make any more changes after the first 4 incase we had another injury. The next question should have been why he wasn’t in the first 4 subs but that was too much to ask

Possibly on of the worst managerial displays I've seen. Everything he did was wrong. From the pathetic team selection to his random subs. The complete lack of urgency in that second half was baffling. He needs to improve sharpish.

Reminds me of the Sven days.

Brought into the club because of his name, bizarre team selections, tactics all over the shop. We're just waiting for the left-field transfers coming in. Expecting Darius Vassell and Gelson Fernandes to make a shock return to the club.

You may have started it, you may have some question marks, fair play to owning it and holding your hands ups, but there were many, many, many others who piled on Cooper, before a ball was kicked and those same people are also calling it too soon or ridiculous we're even questioning RVN 'so soon'.

Seriously, what's changed? Is it not worse?

This isn't just on him, as it wasn't Cooper, players needs to own this and as I suggested earlier perhaps we shouldn't have a manager, I don't think these players are capable of being managed.

I’ve only seen the highlights from today, so I can’t really add comments. Wolves xG was always better than what they’ve shown.

I don’t think conceding a significant number of shots like we have been, was going to be successful going forward.

Hermansen is a generational goalkeeper and he’s kept the score down. Ward isn’t at that level and the 22/23 appears to have broken him. He looks devoid of confidence.

I’m not sure who RVN picks today by the way, as the squad is ravaged and average at best. However Buonanotte should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Horrible team selection, horrible tactics and horrible  substitutions- as clueless as the players on the pitch unfortunately- a massive part of that defeat sits with him - I had so much hope but red flags all over the place after today - not sure he could have got anymore wrong if he tried - cooper ball at its finest today - we would be absolutely slaughtering cooper if that game was under him - ruud deserves exactly the same heat - garbage and unfortunately to much wrong for me that it already shows he probably isn’t the real deal at all

He doesn’t know what to do or say

Agreed - his post match interview is bordering on pathetic - so monotone and he actually said they did a lot better second half and were full of effort - again absolute codswallop- that second half is the worst half iv seen for a long time after the first - can’t believe he set them up just not to concede again - sat behind the ball like we were winning - insane

Poor today but people are being over dramatic. It's not like he's had Cooper's run of favourable fixtures with basically zero injuries or suspensions either. Some strange choices today 100%. The next three games are going to be difficult but if he's got a few new additions in time for Fulham/Palace then we can truly judge him.

Ward and Justin cannot play again. The obsession with Ayew is weird - he's fine to come on as a sub but starting? The right hand side attacks were so frustrating with Justin so high up with zero quality.

I really don't know which centre backs should be playing. I like Vestegaard on the ball but off it, him and Coady are too slow. Faes, when he's at it is good but he has so many brain farts. No proper defenders in the club anymore.

Does he actually want to be here.... can't see him staying long term

I sincerely hope not. The best thing. For all concerned is if he leaves tomorrow..

We all as supporters can overreact and be emotional. But this is basic basic stuff that supporters are calling out pre match. No wise ass hindsight..

This guy doesn't know what he's doing. Really, we as average mug punters know more.

Certainly not good in any way today but I am behind him until after the transfer window. I don’t know how much a manager has to do with the signings, but you would like to think he should be the one who says what he needs and gives the final decision. Whether this is so, who actually knows.

What I did realise today is that out of our whole squad, not first team but squad, there is only 8 players I would keep if I could change them all and 2 of them are keepers.

Not one of these players is a defender. I think first team defensive improvements should be our priority over anything else in Jan. Let’s see if Ruud does this.

Pretty much how I see it sadly. Any manager appointment is a gamble but this feels like a huge one.

I don't understand why there is no team with him for starters. We need a defence coach asap. It all starts from there if we can't keep the goals out we are going down and going down quickly.

Some serious divs that follow us.

No manager can deal with what Vestergaard, Justin and Ward did. Today is obviously not on Ruud.

It’s completely on Ruud…… why do people try to say this? I wanted Cooper out as much as anyone, but if Cooper did this today he would have been crucified. The team selection was an abomination…. But what was worse, was the apparent complete lack of effort, there was no press, no aggression and no intensity in the play…… you can not approach a game of this magnitude and set the team up to amble around the pitch as if it’s an end of season mid table clash.

It was incredible naive management today from Ruud, and it’s quite possibly finished us off.

I just think appointing Urs Fischer, Rudi Garcia, Roger Schmidt or Niko Kovac all with more managerial experience would have been the way to go imo. I wasn’t against appointing Ruud but I’m unsure he’s right for us. Seems very much as stated earlier that it’s a Sven type appointment. Hope I’m wrong.

Well said. I didn’t like the booing either, it was neither intense nor loud enough.
