(Latte Lath) Possibly, it depends on the profile Ruud is after. We were linked with Peter Musa this window also, he looked much more like a a player that could do the false 9 part of the role in dropping in deep to link up the play, as well as being a good target man. However, Latte Lah is rapid and would be good during our transitional moments, and very good at pressing. The thing is Daka is supposed to have a profile like that too, but his first touch and awareness are lacking. I haven't seen enough of Latte Lah to make a good assesment of how suitable he is. I would suggest that Esposito had more of the type of profile we would be after of the two, but Latte Lah's stats are good, and he's been a good player for Boro for at least 18 months now. 2

FOXSE Posted 15 January Posted 15 January I would've liked to kept Cannon, but if £10m +£3m add ons, that's worth taking..... 2

Aleksz Posted 15 January Posted 15 January Yeah I’m taking that. Not confident we’ll spend it properly mind.
honeybradger Posted 15 January Posted 15 January We either sell him for decent money now or he lounges on our bench for the rest of the season and loses all his value.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 15 January Posted 15 January (edited) Back to Everton? They've joined the race according to these jokers https://www.givemesport.com/everton-transfer-news-hold-talks-sign-thomas-cannon-leicester-city-goodison-park/? Edited 15 January by SouthStandUpperTier

Hitesh Posted 15 January Posted 15 January We should get this into a bidding war...and up the incentives for future sell on / goals etc.
Aleksz Posted 15 January Posted 15 January Thinking about it, surely Everton put a sell on in there when they sold him to us?
StanSP Posted 15 January Posted 15 January £13m! Nice to be the club asking for over the odds for once.

AKCJ Posted 15 January Posted 15 January £7m would have been typical Leicester. £13m is very good business. Well done to the club.

Isn’t on inflated wages and impossible to shift. We’ve got to get back to the model more consistently 4
ozvaldo Posted 15 January Posted 15 January Would we not be better keeping him, and selling Daka? Cannon can score and will be on a lot less per week than Daka. Plus, if we do go down, we know he’ll boss the Chammo. 1

Sell an asset right now and use them to get in a player in a pressing position that we so desperately need.

moore_94 Posted 15 January Author Posted 15 January Both of the deals on the table from Sunderland and Sheff Utd are loans with obligations based on promotion I wouldn’t say it really gives us much if any more money to spend in this window 1

We need to use Vardy leaving as the catalyst for changing the wage culture here. Our very best player (someone that could go on to play for a side with ambitions of winning the league) should be on about 70/80k a week once they've proven they're worth it here. Going straight in with 80k a week for players like Vestergaard and Bertrand really ****ed us up. 3
